Ring Dilema

Ring Dilema

Ok my engagement ring cannot fit a band around it so I found the one that is like a V to fit it but it seems to take up so much space around my finger and it looks kind of weird. So now I am not sure if I should just get a whole new ring all together. I love my engagement ring but I can’t find anything that goes with it. Would it be tacky if I just get another ring for the wedding? I just don’t know what to do.

I think some girls with the same problem were moving the e-ring to right hand and wearing band alone on left. a possibility for you??

If you found 1 v shape that sort of worked, maybe you just need to keep looking a V styles and you will find one that works and doesn't look weird.

Or maybe go to Elsa's in Farmingdale on rte 110 to see cost of making custom band that would fit with e-ring.

I also have a unique E-Ring and found that there are many 'contour' wedding bands that compliment mine really well, which look like there's a 'V' in the middle. Keep searching! You will find the right wedding band! Can you post a pic of your e-ring so we can have a better idea of what might compliment it? Here's what mine looks like:

i agree about Elsa. She's making my ring to match my e-ring and she's doing a great job!

I have a similar problem. I couldn't find a perfect match. Although I really wanted FH's and mine to match. I may just wear my ring on my right hand. I've tried them on together and I like it. It's not perfect, but it works.

I have a high setting, so I think any ring that I choose might be overpowered by it. We kept our cost down so a custom ring is out of the question. Who knows maybe I can upgrade on our Anniversary.

Just keep looking and you'll find something. Good Luck

OMG! Your e-ring is BEAUTIFUL!!!! A custom wedding band may be a good option...

Re: Ring Dilema

My e-ring is a weird shape and nothing looked right with it, so my jeweler made a wax mold and FH just had my wedding band made to fit around it. It really didn't cost that much more than some of the wedding bands that I was looking at, the only addition was the charge for the wax mold and then the metal mold that they made for approval.

By the way your engagement ring is beautiful

my wedding band is a contour band to fit against my e-ring.
we had it custom made, incormprating diamonds from one of my mom's rings, and diamonds form one of his aunt's rings.

Would you consider wearing you E-Ring on your right hand, and the wedding band solo?

I know a few people that do that, because they're rings don't match

Ok. I just finished speaking with my mom. My aunt used to be a jeweler and I wasnt sure if she was still in the business. Well she is and I just might ask her to do something custom for me. So that it looks good with my E-Ring if she cant then I might just have to switch hands for me E-ring.

There are so many jewelry stores that can make you a custom band. You'll probably have to give up your engagement ring for week so they can match it, but it's worth it. I had an issue with my band fitting and I brought it to my jeweler and they were able to file it down and make it perfect in 15 minutes.
