ring dilemma

ring dilemma

I have a problem with my e-ring and I'm hoping one of you gals has a great fix since FH and I are at a total loss and you are always so helpful. So my e-ring BARELY gets over my knuckles in the morning, I guess my fingers swell? But by the time the end of the day rolls around, the thing is practically falling off my finger. I don't want to resize it so that it doesn't fit in the morning, but I don't want it to be so loose at the end of the day Any ideas?

maybe try a little less salt in your diet, that could help the swelling.

or try greasing your hands up with lotion.

I always take my ring off before bed. First its annoying and I end up with an imprint on my face, LOL and second my fingers are swollen in the morning too. I find that after I am up and have showered and eaten, the swelling subsides a bit.

My ring through out the day is fallign off my finger, i was thinking of making it smaller til i fell asleep with it one day (i take it off every night) and the ring would not come off in the AM i was like WTH.... then as soon as i walked out, its falling it off and im constantly fixing it.. Im going to leave it as is..

I have a ring like that. I had the jeweler put shots in the band -- they're little balls that help hold it in place and keep it from spinning, but they don't prevent me from getting the ring on and off.

i was going to say the balls too to help when the ring is too big. But im assuming it wont help when its too small..hmmmmmmmm

I'm jumping on the cutting out the salt - or just being careful with it.

I dont wear my ring at night for i will wake up looking i got into a fight (violent sleeper) but as you sleep your body retains water, so it might be good to just not wear it at night and just during the day.

Yup, And if you want to stop it from spinning, you can talk to your jeweler about the beads, or about flattening the bottom of the ring, I've heard it's a lot more comfortable than the shots

My ring has not come off my finger since I got engaged. Except for the one time I dyed my hair. But I do see that my fingers are swollen in the morning when I wake up and my ring feels a little tight. I was told to cut out salt from my diet and since i've done so, my fingers have not been swollen in the morning!

Thanks girls! I will try eating less salt (maybe the fact that I hate half a jar of olives last night didn't help ). I don't usually wear it to sleep, I put it on when I get up after showering and eating and its still a squeeze. Hopefully the salt thing helps. Thanks!

I just went to my jeweler yest to have my Grandmas ring redone. She can't wear her ering and wedding band anymore because her knuckles are a size 7 and her finger is a 5. The jeweler showed us this adjustable band that they can put on. It opens to get it over her knuckle and it snaps closed when it is on all the way. It was about $500 so she didn't want to spend that much, but I though it was a great idea. FM if you want the jeweler's info.
