Where did you ladies get your ring guards? Can any jewelry store put those little ball things in to make the ring smaller? My ring almost fell off my finger today and I freaked!

Re: Ring Guard
Go to the upstairs part of Tri-County Flea Market...there a ton of jewelers up there and I'm sure you will find one that can put the ball on it.

I got the balls put in at my local jeweler. It is a respectable place that has been in business for years....I would try to find a reputable jeweler to do it.

Re: Ring Guard
Why don't you get the ring resized? Those balls will totally change the shape of the ring. If you get it resized, it will fit perfectly.
FH got me a size 7 ring because back when we first started dating, I was a size 7. After losing 40+ lbs, I'm actually a 5 3/4 now. I just got my ring resized.
Before I had it resized, I got a small ring guard -- the type that wraps around the ring in two places and you can adjust the backside of it to make it tighter. It was great for the first week I had the ring since we were going to FL to see my grandfather and I wanted him to see the ring.
This isn't mine, but with a quick search online, I found this example of what I'm talking about. It was $7 at a local jewelry shop.

Re: Ring Guard
I have the 'balls' in mine and it did not change the shape of my ring at all. My jeweler called them 'shots', but I don't know if thats what all jewelers call them. I watched them put them on, they just melted some metal and put two drips inside my band and then cooled it so it solidified and now there are two little balls in there that stop it from spinning around my finger. If its so loose that its going to fall off though I would suggest resizing. The shots are usually just used when it's slightly too big. My ring wouldn't go past my knuckle without them but it would spin around so thats why I got them.

Re: Ring Guard
I had ring guard and hated it. Got the balls put in by FH where he got ring and love it. They can remove them if you gain weight too!

Re: Ring Guard
UPDATE:
I went to a local jeweler and it turns out that my finger is now a half size smaller than it was when FH purchased the ring. the balls wouldnt have helped so they resized it..fits perfectly now..with room for swelling! Thanks ladies!

Re: Ring Guard UPDATE at bottom
Ugh I got mine resized and now my ring is cracked and pointed on the bottom. I knew I should've gotten the balls but I had to take a size and a half out of my ring, usually the balls are only good for 1 ring size max...
