Ring insurance

Hi Ladies,

My sister got engaged on Sunday (yeah!!!) and needs to get her ring insured. Now I added a rider to my renters insurance but she does not have or want renters insurance.

Did any of you ladies get a seperate policy for your ring that is not attached to a home owners or renters policy?

Thank you ladies!

Same policy Its cheaper to add it on to home owners

I went with Chubbs Insurance for mine. It's a separate policy from everything else.

Try Jeweler's Mutual. It's a sep. policy and for the year I only pay $104.00!

Jeweler's Mutual, they are great, its seperate and covers everything and anything which most policies dont cover, if a stone falls out, its 100 % replaced, if entire ring is stolen or it is lost its 100% replaced, no deductible......and having it as a seperate policy will not increase your insurance rate if God Forbid something happens to the ring........
I got the insurance through State Farm, .......Ask these questions above, like I said most policies dont cover stolen or lost stones, and if some do they have a deductible, I pay 125.00 per year, its based on your appraisal ring value, which you need to get 1st before you bring it to an insurace company to get it insured. I got mine done at the Jewlery Judge in Garden City......I forget how much that costs, but I think its around $110 -150
for the appraisal.
