My FH proposed to me not even a month ago so my ring is still very new When he bought it my Mom gave him the size she thought I was so he had it resized. When he proposed to me down in Disney, the ring fit pretty good, I guess because of the heat...but when we returned home, it started really sliding and flipping all around. I have been wearing bandaids to keep it from falling off. I'm a daycare teacher who is constantly washing her hands so I don't want to lose my ring! Needless to say I brought it to the jewelers tonight to get two balls sottered (sp?) on to the sides to prevent it from falling off....but I feel sooooo lost without my ring I keep feeling for it and it's not there...and I keep thinking I'm gonna wake up tomorrow, realize it's gone and think this had all been just a dream I can't wait to get it back!!!
Update: So I got my ring back tonight and I had the shots added on (the balls) and so far the ring fits awesome. Unfortunately they wouldn't just be able to resize my ring because it had already been cut to size once. The setting of my diamonds is supposedly too delicate and the jeweler didn't want to risk the diamonds popping out by resizing it again. He also said it wouldn't help me much as my fingers are so thin, but my knuckles are kind of big...LOL The shots are working out fine.....doesn't spin around on my finger and definitely won't slip over my knuckles. I'm just sooooo happy to have it back. I felt lost without it!

Re: Ring is at the Jewelers
I had to have my ring sized too... I kept looking at my finger and getting that nervous 'OMG it;s gone!!!' sinking feeling. Luckily it was only gone for a few hours.

Re: Ring is at the Jewelers
That happened to me too, when we got engaged it fit perfectly but then after a few days I realized that it was just too big and I had to give it back to the jeweler to resize it... I was so torn and I kept looking at my finger and feeling for it... I was so happy to put it back on my finger a few days later and it was much better cause it fit perfectly and I didnt have to worry about it falling off... So, even though you are without it for a while, it's worth it so it doesnt fall off!

I love the balls on my ring and i hate them...my ring is still too big! I lost so much weight that my ring had to be taken in from a 7 1/2 to a 6 1/2. I think I need a 6. But I dont want to give it up again!!

same here...i lost weight so they put the balls in rather than having to size it multiple times since i still planned to lose weight. Well the ring is sliding off again so i either need to get bigger balls (hehe) or have it sized!

Re: Ring is at the Jewelers
Just an FYI girls - Over time the balls wear and they will wear down your band. Its a quick fix but eventually it should be sized correctly.

Re: Ring is at the Jewelers
When I first got my ring it was almost 2 sizes too big! I have REALLY tiny fingers, and FH thought he had the right size. He bought a size 5....turns out I'm a 3 1/2!!!!!!!!!
Originally I had one of those adjustable ring guards put on, but eventually it broke from me adjusting it too much. So I went and had it sized. BUT....I got it sized a 1/4 size bigger than what the jeweler measured me at to account for swelling during the summer (I measured in the winter). So my ring is now 3 3/4'.
I'd honestly just get it resized. It's definitely worth the hassle. I had to leave mine for a couple of days too and it was so weird not having it on....but well worth it to me.

So sorry!! Just want to add, usually in the Summer the heat makes your fingers swell, so it must be something other than the heat that is making it loose.

Re: Ring is at the Jewelers
I've had to get my ring resized twice so far from losing weight, it was originally a 7 now its a 5 1/2, so i totally understand what you mean with being without your ring
