I LOOOVE my engagement ring, however, the setting is very low and thin . I have always wanted a thicker wedding band and since my setting is low something bigger doest seem to fit flush with my ring. Do you know if the jeweler can make my band thicker or alter it somehow without having to get a new setting ?
The jeweler could totally do something with that! My e-ring's main stone is almost built into the band and I'm using my grandmother's wedding ring. The jeweler that my FH used to design my ring said he can do whatever I want and whatever needs to be done!!!
Don't fret just yet!! Ask around...see what jewelers say before panic starts to set in!!

we have very similar rings- my jeweler is actually tapering the center prongs ever-so-slightly so that my wedding band sits flush with the e-ring. he said it won't alter the integrity of the structure and he'll do it when i pick up my band tomorrow. he said I also won't even be able to tell it was done.
he's in the diamond district if you want his info, but i believe that most good jewelers can do this no problem.

Have you looked into ring wraps or guards? Theres a couple other names for them too. They may work well to give the appearance of a wider band. Good luck

I have almost the same e-ring! I also wanted my wedding band to sit flush and I wanted something thicker. This is what I am getting...it's a double row pave band. I'm getting from Gabriel's in Tri County. FM me for more details :)

I loveee that, but will it sit flush against your ring? I'm having the same issue and I'd like a chunky band like that so I'm thinking I'm going to have to wear it by itself and my e-ring on my right hand.
I have an emerald and since the stone sticks so high up and down below the band I don't think I can get anything to sit flush unless I get it custom which I don't want because I want to wear it on it's own.
I had mine custom made, 3 sided pave to match the band of my e-ring. I know a lot of people don't want custom because they want to be able to wear it on it's own and I felt the same way. So...mine is an eternity band so if I want to wear the wedding band by itself, I can just flip it over so that the cut out where my e-ring fits is on the bottom of my hand (palm side) so you can't even tell that there is any type of customization...it just looks like a regular eternity band from the top of my hand.
