Ok Im sure you all have experienced and vented about 'ring envy' but i really need to vent....

FH got me a gorgoeus marquis stone in a very unique setting that has eight little round stones. I love it..people however are saying they think the center stone could be bigger..that the ring looks like an 'old' style...what the hell is wrong with them?

Sorry but its sooooooooo annoying

I don't get commented on the size of my stone but what kind of stone it is. Ever since I was little I always wanted a Ruby instead of a Diamond. I always get 'Oh it's a Ruby? Why did you get that?' It's what I wanted and I like to be different damn it! Screw them!

I have a sapphire and I got the same thing....but I personally am not really a 'diamond' girl....I like colored stones better!

He loves you so much that he put a ring on your finger .....I Don't care if it were a single stone that was 1/2 ct. its what it stands for and whats behind it that matter....

Honestly, I think the huge rings look ridiculous on some people (especially on people with thin tiny fingers). I think you should get what looks good. Plus, it isnt the size, its the quality. I want that sucker to sparkle no matter what! And it does!

I agree quantity doe not matter it's the quality that counts. But most importantly what matters is your FH picked it out (or you helped him pick it out) and it symbolizes how much you truly love each other. Carat size is totally not important when you look deeper into what the engagement ring really signifies.

many people make comments on engagement rings that are not very nice :(

i guess it is all the same concept though: some people think that bigger size is better, other people think that good quality is better, i guess people just want to know/think either way that their ring is valuable.

sometimes i wish we could get rid of the whole big diamond ring thing and just get any old ring that our fiance thought was beautiful and that we would like.

i totally agree...FH got me a stunning ring its so sparkly and has great specs, its 1.5 carats...and my friends say well...it couldve been bigger, i dont wana a 3 carat ring that looks brown...argh
