Ok Im sure you all have experienced and vented about 'ring envy' but i really need to vent....
FH got me a gorgoeus marquis stone in a very unique setting that has eight little round stones. I love it..people however are saying they think the center stone could be bigger..that the ring looks like an 'old' style...what the hell is wrong with them?
Sorry but its sooooooooo annoying

Re: Rings..rings..rings..
I haven't gotten that, but I feel that way sometimes myself...my ring IS an antique- it is a family heirloom over 100 years old. the center stone is less than 1 carat...most of my friends have 2+
sometimes I feel envious, but then I realize it is not the ring that matters!!
plus people are SO RUDE

Re: Rings..rings..rings..
Lemme tell you... I recently went to a bridal event and EVERYONE was checking each other's rings out. Mine may not have been the biggest, but I'd sure as hell rather have my sparkler than a large piece of poo. I saw the appraisal amount on the insurance policy and nearly fell off my chair. It cost more to insure than my home. You enjoy your ring and to anyone who says anything!!!

Those are people that are always tring to out do others. I am proud of my ring no matter what anyone says. I just ignore the people that have bad things to say.

You are so right! No matter the size, its how much you love it, not everyone else.

I CANNOT believe someone would actually say that to you!!!! That is so RUDE!!! Bigger doesn't mean better. Everyone has their own taste. If you like it, who cares what other people say. The fact that they would even verbalize that thought out loud is ridiculous!

How rude!!!! I can't believe people are saying that to you. I hope they're strangers and not your friends or family. It sounds gorgeous to me. I'd love to have an antique style ring.
Wear it proudly!

Every ring is special because someone's Fiance picked it out just for them. Don't listen to people ... they say the dumbest things and it won't stop at the ring. You'll hear plenty of comments so just plan to ignore them. If I have to hear one more person complain that my wedding is so far away and I should just get married this year .... (Breathe!)

Some people are just plain RUDE!!! Ignore them they have no right to say anything about anyone elses ring. It is just unnecessary BS. I was always told; If you do not have anything nice to say, do not say anything at ALL!!! As long as you love your ring that is all that matters!

Re: Rings..rings..rings..
Listen the size of the stone doesn't mean squat you can have a rock on your finger and the clarity can be crap and the quality of the ring might be crap as well my ring isn't anything spectacular but I love it cuz its differnet. People have made comments on my ring I just say well I like it cuz its a trillion cut and those you dont' see to often the clarity is great and its a very pricey ring. I don't care about the carots or that crap I like my ring my FH picked it out for me and gave it to me and thats a ll that matters. Those people that have comments to say about others rings I think are just abit jealous for some reason or other. don't let them get to you

Re: Rings..rings..rings..
it's absurd, but yes, I've heard it too---- from my OWN SISTER!!!
She said that my FH should've waited til he saved up more money so he could buy a larger stone.
I actually cried.
I LOVE my ring - and I love love love that my FH designed it. I'm more than satisfied with the size of the stone (although it is small compared to most of the ladies on here), and I got what I wanted - quality over quantity. My diamond is bright, sparkly, crystal clear, and looks just right on my small hand.
I can't believe people have the nerve to say what they do
As soon as my sister saw my ring, she turned to her a$$ of a boyfriend and said, 'See how pretty? Mine will have to be MUCH bigger though...'

Re: Rings..rings..rings..
I don't get commented on the size of my stone but what kind of stone it is. Ever since I was little I always wanted a Ruby instead of a Diamond. I always get 'Oh it's a Ruby? Why did you get that?' It's what I wanted and I like to be different damn it! Screw them!
