Riviera at Massapequa?

Riviera at Massapequa?

My fiancee and I looked around at a few places, but the last, The Riviera, took our breaths away. We were looking at 'one event at a time' venues because my hubby to be has severe food allergies, and we figured why take the risk of something happening. We saw the Riviera and it was all we were looking for and in our budget, but I haven't heard of anyone getting married/having their reception there in the recent past. I was just wondering if anyone has had a wedding/reception there or have gone to one and how your experience there was. I'm almost certain this is where we'll be putting our downpayment on in a few weeks, but it'd be nice to hear some personal experiences first lol. Thanks!!

I'm getting married there on June 27, 2009 - wedding and reception. My fiance and I checked out a TON of places on LI but we loved the overall feel of the Riviera. I got possitive reviews of The Riviera on this forum and word of mouth. We booked in April.

Best of luck!

yay fellow riviera brides! we haven't had our wedding yet, but so far our experience with them has been great. all of our meetings are so relaxed, they spend lots of time with you answering all kinds of silly little questions. Of course we love the setting which was a big draw. I can't say too much about the food since we only ate there during a showcase but I thought it was good and many people who I know that have been to weddings ther loved it.

Thank you ladies SO much for your responses. I absolutely LOVE the Riviera & I LOVED the thought of being married there outside the moment I saw how beautiful and yet cozy the location was. Everyone that we've talked to there when we saw the location were so sweet and warm. Of course me being overly cautious lol I just wanted to get some imput, and you all definitely did that for me. I definitely feel SO much better hearing so many good things!

I'm so excited & cannot wait!!!

Thank you!!!!

I'm getting married there in October! I haven't worked with them much, but from the times I have I could say that they've been so nice and helpful! I've also heard NOTHING but good things about it!

we had our reception at the Riviera a year ago and do not regret it all. Everyone was amazing from our banquet manager to the bridal attendant to our matre d. We were so happy with everything and all our guests are still talking about how great the food and service was. I totally recommend you booking your wedding there.

We're getting married there in Sept and just had our 'menu meeting'. We know several people who got married there and had nothing but good things to say. It's true that a Riviera Bride is a Stress Free Bride. They've thrown in so many free extras too!! The biggest compliment was when we were at a friends wedding somewhere else and we overheard a couple (who didn't know where we were getting married) said that it wasn't as good as The Riviera! When we told them that's where we were getting married, they told us they never had better food in their lives at a wedding!

I've heard great things about this place.
We looked there and I fell in love with it in 2 seconds.
Especially in the room when you see the boards on the ceiling and its sooo pretty.

BUT, they couldn;t hold the amount we needed.
But this was my first pick!!!

I was the DOC for my friend's wedding their in August. The food and service were great. Just make sure you don't exceed too many people. It can get very tight and difficult for people to see the formalities (1st dance, cake cutting, etc.)

Well my invite list is only 130 so it's not going to be that bad I'm sure. Probably only 100-115 will show.
