Has anyone gone for a taste testing at the hall? If so, how was it done?

we went to try the food before we booked them. there was another event at the time, so we tried the cocktail hour food, figuring as long as that is good we're okay.

We went to the bridal showcases but there are always so many people you can't get anything.
I've heard that they offer private testings but I heard a rumor that you're in the office and they give you next to nothing.
So, I don't know if it's worth it to schedule one.

you are in the office; you have to be because they only do tastings when another event is on (as do most RHs). We got plenty of food.

So you have to request the tasting right? That's not part of booking with them????

we didn't want to book with a place without trying the food first, so we did 3 tastings at 3 RHs. No charge. At this point, I'm sure you can request a tasting as your day gets closer so you can decide on some of the CH food or entrees. just call and ask michele or meghan. they're very accomodating.

We have been dealing with Vicky. She told us to set something up with her since we missed the food at the bridal shows.

well it can't hurt right? that way when it's time to pick your menu you have an idea what you like. i would do it closer to your date though since items change seasonally

We tasted the food prior to booking - however yes, for whatever reason it's only the cocktail food. Everything we ate was dee-lish.
We'd like to test out some of the main courses once we get to that point.
I agree - that showcase S*CKED in terms of tasting the food. It also helped them in a way because now I know 30 minutes for that touch of vienese isn't long enough for everyone to grab as much as a cookie even and we're sold on the raw bar Ching-Ching. Ha ha!
We love the Riviera though :)

You will LOVE the Riviera. We just had our wedding there(writing this from Punta Cana ![]()
) Everyone at our wedding raved about the food. they even packed the food for our guests who couldn't finish their meals. A review to come soon!!!

We did it when we went to book them. we were in the office, but they brought us plenty of food. They brought in a huge platter for 5 of us. I don't eat meat or anything that touches meat so when I told them that, they went back and made a second large plate with no meat. They will bring you what everyou want and as much of it.
