Riviera Brides..??

My gf fell in love with the place and is bringing her FH there on Monday.. Would you mind telling me how much you paid and what that included?

You can FM me if you'd like to be private.. My gf is on a budget nad I want to help her out as much as possible as far as negotiating is concerned.

Oh, and when your wedding is and time of day!
Thanks guys!

Re: Riviera Brides..??

It is a great place, I was there in March for a wedding. The only draw back is if you are having a lot of guests. She had like 200 and it was tight, even with them and BP seated on the dance floor.
They also did not do a great job directing guests to the back cocktail hour area (it's off to the side and with food also on the dance floor it took guests (including brides family to realize there was a whole other area). The wedding was end of march too cold for outside cocktail hour.

We have a great time, service good (did not do BP seating cards correct, had to ask for drinks in bridal suite, messed up my meal) But everyone had a great time (we even stayed like an hour after and they did not kick us out).

I would have chosen them if FSIL had not gotten married there. (they got a deal because FBIL used to work there).

I was also there in March for a wedding - the day was beautiful so she had the ceremony & CH outdoors. She planned the wedding in something like 4 months - her price pp was $63. TREMENDOUS amount of food during CH - TREMENDOUS...everything from sushi to carving table to seafood to pastas. Food was very good - though I don't eat half that stuff.

I remember thinking it would be tight had it been a larger wedding.

I think KMCWED got married there...

HI MARCELLA!!!

My sister was married at The Riviera 4 years ago. I'm not exactly sure what she paid but I remember it being VERY reasonable.

NP, Marcella! I think 120 would be fine - I just wouldn't go over 150 there...

Re: Riviera Brides..??

When we looked there, we were quoted $78 for a friday night in May (May 14th actually) and $75 for that Saturday afternoon. I would not go over 150 there. They will tell you that the room holds more but it will be very tight! The only thing I didn't like about the place was that there are 2 or 3 tables off to the side that wind up being behind the wall and the guests seated there can't really see the dance floor. But depending on how many people you are having, you may not need those tables.

I'm assuming this isn't the Riviera in Brooklyn right?

Re: Riviera Brides..??

Marcella .. that is the base price without filet mignon or chair covers. We are upgrading to the surf and turf and adding sushi, lobster tails and clam bar to the cocktail hour. They don't let you make the upgrades until you've made most of your payments and you set the menu about 4 weeks before.

Vicki and Michelle are awesome! They are the banquet managers and definitely take the extra step.
