Did anyone else see on channel 2 about the Riviera in Massapequa. i didnt see it so this is from someone who saw half of it.Apparently a soildier and his wife booked and then had to cancel I assume he is goign to Iraq or somewhere and they arent getting money or at least not all of it back so they went to channel 2 news for help.
yes I heard, and I must say that most places aren't as nice to military personel as they should be. Many aren't exposed but many do not accomodate for such situations, I'm so happy that this couple exposed them to everyone and wish that more people in the military would when burned by the civilian world. Its pretty tasteless and completely classless to do such a thing to one of the very people who keep this country free so you can have the business in the first place
i didnt say i disagreed but I want the deatils does anyone have them? How much money is it that they arent getting is it all of it or is it the 1000 non refundable deposit that is clearly stated in teh contract?
I'm not sure of all the details, and contract or not they should get it all back, I'm sorry but I think there should be exceptions for military men who get called to duty, and this isn't an attack on you, i'm sorry if it seems that way but my FH is in a similar situation with something else, and it angers me so much how little respect these guys/girls get.

No i agree that there are certain situations that cant be avoided I just saying I want to hear the FULL story b/c I missed it and the person who told me only saw half of it
yea, mine is full time active duty right now so it is EXTREMELY hard, I am saving all on my own and doing a pretty good job of it. We got engaged in August , the 29th, so really almost september, but I have save 3K so far so I'm doing alrighty, we haven't picked our hall officially yet for that reason, I am trying to pick other halls that are cheaper, its all on me, you know how well our military men get paid so he is concentrating on his bills and I am saving.
I was trying to do a search as well. I wonder if the story will repeat at 11 pm? I'm very interested because I have an appt. at the Riviera this Saturday and my FI is in the Navy (Active Duty) so I'm curious as to what happened.
