Riviera Maya Resort Recommendations??

Hi - Has anyone ever been to a great yet reasonably priced all inclusive resort in the Riviera Maya/Mexico?? I am considering going to Riviera Maya for a mini-honeymoon right after my wedding to chill out. We want to do something with a gorgeous beach, good food, but reasonably priced since our 'big' honeymoon will be going to Greece in September. Let me know if you have any recommendations for good all-inclusives in Riviera Maya - doesn't need to be 5 star, but needs to be right on the beach, nice pool/swim up bar, good food, and clean/decent accommodations. Thanks!!

Yes, I have been there for on vacation and stayed there. The resort is beautiful and when I went it was very clean. Great Choice!!

Have fun!

we went to aventura spa palace for 11 days and we had the best time. however for a mini moon it might be too$$$$ depending on how long you are going to go for.

good luck!

My FH and I stayed at Reef Club Playacar near Playa Del Carmen in 2003 and we absolutely loved it. We weren't even engaged at the time, but we had matching Claddagh rings (Irish bands) and they bumped us up to the honeymoon suite where we had an outdoor jacuzzi and our own private waterfront terrace. Entire trip cost us $2200 including airfare! I highly recommend this place - we'd be returning for our HM but we're going to Germany/France instead. FM me if you want more info/pix.

I heard Secrets Excellence is nice there. My friend went for New Years Eve and said it was nice, food was good. It is also reasonably priced.I think it is a 3 or 4 star hotel.

i also second Secrets--they have secrets excellence and secrets capri. they are an adults only all-inclusive and have heard nothing but the best from them.
