I'm gonna be the death of you guys by the time I finally secure a venue!!!!!
How much does the Riviera require in terms of a deposit? And can we make monthly payments, with a balloon payment at the end?
I'm asking because we'll have $1000 to put down, but won't have the bulk of our budget until December. We can make small payments monthly ($200-300) until then. We can pay the balance in cash in December.
Would this be ok with them? How are you guys paying it off?

My deposit was $3,500, followed by a few smaller payments (I think $2,500 each). I don't think 2k is unreasonable, but given the circumstances, maybe they'll make an exception? Good luck!

We're doing a Sunday night wedding at the Riviera with a relatively low guest count, so they were flexible with our payments. We paid what they asked for the initial deposit, and paid the others at the specified times, but they realized we'd probably overpay if we followed their structured payment plan, so they modified it for us, no problem.
As other girls have said, they're generally very flexible, so it can't hurt to ask. We had the money up front (it's *now* that we're feeling the crunch), so we never asked about changing the initial deposit, but give it a shot! Good luck!
