Riviera payment plans

Riviera payment plans

I'm gonna be the death of you guys by the time I finally secure a venue!!!!!

How much does the Riviera require in terms of a deposit? And can we make monthly payments, with a balloon payment at the end?

I'm asking because we'll have $1000 to put down, but won't have the bulk of our budget until December. We can make small payments monthly ($200-300) until then. We can pay the balance in cash in December.

Would this be ok with them? How are you guys paying it off?

Thanks!
Jen

I didnt get married at the Rivera but I think most places require a $2k deposit then $1,000 every other month until we reached a certain amt. then the rest was due 2 or 3 weeks before the wedding. I think it also depends on you spread it out & the venue. Obviously if you book 2 yrs in advance you have more time to pay it off.

Every venue is dif so I would call to ask. When I started my search it varied from place to place. My venue required a $1000 deposit when I booked 2 years ago. Then a payment wasn't due for another few months then almost a year after that. Over the past 2 years I have met those payments plus I have sent in other payments over that time as well. We wanted to get as much payed off as possible because we didn't want a huge bill for the venue close to the wedding.

Riviera lists their payment schedule on their site but I'm wondering how flexible they are with it as well.

They list it on their site? I was all over the site last night and I didn't see anything like that. Can you attach the exact link for that?

My venue wanted $2000 deposit and then half of the remaining balance due two months before the wedding and the remaining due a week before when you give your final count. I would ask them and see what they say. The worst thing they can say is No. Good Luck!

Its on the bottom of their food menu. This is what it says (but i'm really hoping its flexible!):

Upon Signing the contract, a deposit of $2,000 is required.

Sixty days later, a second deposit of $3,000 is due.

Six months prior to the Event, a $4,000 deposit is due.

The final payment is due one week before the Event.

The first three payments can be made by cash or personal check.

The Final Payment Must Be In Either CASH OR A CERTIFIED CHECK.

Sorry no credit cards accepted.

We paid $2,000 for our deposit at Riviera. Three months later we paid $2,000 more. Then 6 months out, we paid $4,000. Those were all set by the venue.

We have also since made another $2,000 deposit. Then the lump sum is due based on your final number several days out in the form of cash or certified check.

Your banquet manager should go over all of this with you when you sign the contract. They are lovely people and very flexible at The Riviera. Good luck and CONGRATS!!

Flexible to tweak the payment plan? We will be stretching significantly to do the $2k deposit. We can pay cash for everything in December.

Now I'm sick and dizzy... ugh.

City Hall is looking so much better now. Anyone wanna buy a gown?

$2000 seems like a lot for a deposit. Most venues I went to wanted $1000. My venue was only $500 for the deposit.

All others I've come across want $1000 down and monthly payments with the final payment due anywhere from a week before to the day of.

WM was $1,000 down then 4 payments of $1,000 (we paid monthly because we booked 10 months prior to the wedding) final payment 1 week prior to wedding.
