because I've heard so many mixed reviews about alterations at RK I thought I'd conduct my very first poll.
Good Question. I have no comment either way, just wanted to say im glad you posted this b/c i got my dress from there. I didn't know there were problems w/ their alterations....any opinions ladies?
I've gotten 4 dresses done there...or 5 I can never remember, anyway, never had a problem. My 2 best friends bought their wedding gowns there and had them altered there as well and were very happy. You're going to find mixed reviews anywhere you go, you have to go with what you want. You could take it to a seamstress that has gotten across the board great reviews but there's no guarantee she'll do a great job either. I say go with what's easiest for you.
I purchased my dress at RK Bridal and had alterations done there. I have no complaints at all. My dress didn't need too much done to it though. They had to take it in a bit on top, so they had to re-do the beading on the bodice in that area and they did the bustle. Everything came out great. The only pain was that I live and work on Long Island, and they only do alterations on weekdays and I believe it was only until 5pm, so I had to take time off of work for each fitting.
I bought my dress there and had the alterations done there as well. I had a great experience they did a fabulous job.
