RK alterations

I posted this before but didn't have much luck. My mother thinks that RK will do a horrible job on my dress for alterations based on reviews she read on other websites, and I've tried to tell her that I've only heard good things. Can anyone weigh in on their experience? I'm not sure if its worth the battle with her!

I had my alterations done at RK, and honestly, I was not thrilled. I paid $350 for BASIC alterations -and I mean basic - like the bare bones minimum. A little was taken in around my chest, the length was fixed (by about 1/2 an inch) and I had a bustle put in. My bustle broke 5 minutes in to the reception!

And while Gloria (the seamstress) was a sweetheart, as were all the other girls there, imho paying $350 for a bustle that broke immediately was just not worth it.
