Re: RK Bridal Bridesmaids question

are you going to do the no frills program for bridesmaid dresses? if you do the no frills then you get the dress for cheaper, my bm's got it for $80 cheaper...but if you do this then the dresses have to be paid in full at the time you order it.

No, but how do they work? Do they take the measurments over the phone and then the girls pick them up?

no you go to the store to try on the samples...they can get measured there, or just go by the size chart of the designer you are ordering which is what we did...each size will show the measurements for that size. Then you get the sheet of the designer you will use and you can fax it to them or give it to them there. With no frills you can have the dresses shipped anywhere you want, we had it shipped to a friends summer home in NJ so this way there was no tax on the dresses.

If you do it regularly not no frills, you go in person and order the dresses, they take measurements there...then when the dresses come in they will call you and the girls will go in to start going for alterations after that is done they take it home

Im gonna leave it up to my girls if they wanna do the no frills program, if they're afraid they might mess up their measurements then we might just order them through the store. I would prefer they do the No Frills but I've already mentioned it to a few of them and they would rather just have the store take the measurements and do the alterations -- we'll see I'm going on August 7th so it depends on how much price difference there is.

yeah go there and see...we had no plans of doing the no frills program when we went there...we said hey whatever is easiest...when you go to Rk you will see two prices on the tag, the price on the front is what the dress costs and back is if you do no frills. THe dress they all liked was about $260 and that was without tax and without alterations cost either...then we turn it over and saw $184 and were like hmmmm why not, it was saving over $80 actually bc it wouldve been $65 or $85 for alterations i forgot which one rk charges for bm alterations. My MOH dress was also $260 and she got it for $165. So even though nobody had intentions of it, once you turn it over and see what you can be paying you go with that lol.

The lady in the store actually said she would measure the girls, and she sat down with us to go over the whole thing so they helped us. Infact we were just going to have it shipped to the store but this saleslady asked if any of us are from jersey to just send it there bc theres no tax, one of my bm's has a house there so we just did that

Where did your BMs end up getting their alterations done? I'm afraid if they all go to different places, some dresses might look tight while other might look looser. I've had this happen before in other BPs and the dresses looked so different.

they all went to their own place...i had one bm who no matter what wanted her guy to do her alterations. I dont know, didnt see a problem with the dresses since they all went to different places. Its all about how the girls say they want the dress to fit...My dresses were a little bit mermaid type dresses so they all had to fit a certain way. Its hard to tell bc all my girls were all different shapes, from bm dresses ranged from size 4 to 20. My two cousins who are bigger wanted it a bit bigger on the bottom so it doesnt come too tight which is what i suggested to them so they feel comfortable...but other than that seemed to all fit the same according to their body type. They all were form fitting on top the way it was supposed to be
