RK Bridal in NYC
Has anyone ever been to or bought a dress from RK Bridal? From what I`ve heard, it`s a discount dress warehouse in NYC that sells designer dresses (bridal and bridesmaid) for 50% off! I found a wedding dress from Watters & Watters in a magazine that I loved and I called RK Bridal...they quoted me over 50% the original price! They also said you do not need an appointment to go and try on dresses. It seems too good to be true...I was wondering if anyone ever had any experiences with them and if they are legite. Thanks!

I bought my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses at RK. I have no complaints. The salespeople are helpful and the seamstress took as much time with my dress alterations as needed. They were very patient. Also, the dresses came in a timely manner. Feel free to ask me any questions.

A.....Alterations?
A- You had your alterations done at RK Bridal? I was under the impression that you have to go elsewhere to get your dress fitted. Do you have to get them done there? How much do they charge (their max)? Thanks!

A.....Alterations?
You can get your alterations done their or you can bring the dress where ever you want. They don't have a certain policy- it's up to you. The alterations are capped at a reasonable price-comapred to other bridal stores. I don't remember the exact amount but check their website. It's very good. Tons of dresses to look at. www.RKBRIDAL.com

RK Bridal
I've been to RK Bridal a few times so far in my search for bridesmaid dresses. Their prices are cheaper even with alterations included. The 'no frills' price is a lot less than other places, but that doesn't include alterations which usually adds on a good amount of money. They also have a policy that if you find a dress for less money than it is there they'll give you 5% off your dresses. A co-worker of mine got her bridesmaid dresses there and highly recommends them. I will probably end up getting mine there also. They've also had in stock all of the dresses I'm interested in.

Got My Gown@ RK Bridal
I was very satisfied with the service. If you are looking for a very 'chi chi' salon than this is not for you. the sales staff is very helpful and the tags and style numbers are not cut out of the dresses. As others have stated they have 2 types of service, I chose the full service. My only complaint was that I felt they did a cr@ppy job on the bustle! If you have any questions email me at [email protected]

RK
I know two friends who bought their wedding gowns there and had the alterations done there and had absolutely no complaints. They recommended them to me and I planned on buying my dress there (I went trying on dresses there three times) but when I finally found a dress that I fell in love with RK did not carry the mfg (couture line). I have been in a bridal party where we bought our dresses there and the dress was fine although I used no frills so I did not get my alterations there. I ordered my bridesmaids dresses there. Some girls are using no frills and one is getting her alterations done there. Can't comment too much because I just ordered the dresses about a week ago. It does get packed on Saturdays...and you will not get the small salon feel. But if you get the right person, they know what they are doing and you cannot beat their prices! Also, is you go after work or in the day it is pretty empty. If you look for a bridal gown ask for Gilda. She has over 25+ years experience (she use to work in Saymels...she is so sweet.) PS I believe you do need an appoinment on Sundays only. Let me know if you need more info.Welcome New Vendors
