Have any of you used this price beat policy at RK? I just called them and they said it only applies if you take your own measurements and you don't get to try it on in the store? What's your opinion on this? I think it would save about 50 bucks per BM, but I'm afraid we take the wrong measurements or something

I used this for my cousin's wedding, much to her dismay. Haha. The 'No Frills' package. Everything went fine. I measured myself at home, ordered a Dessy dress in my size. The only PITA was I had to go pick it up myself when it came in (and I wasn't allowed to try it on in the store) but I did it on my lunch hour and tried it on when I got back to work. It fit just fine.

I would rather do this if I was a BM. I hate hate hate going to salons where they order your dress 3 sizes too big on purpose so that they will have to do major alterations and cash in. I would prefer tot ake my dress elsewhere for limited alterations. I would be a little afraid of taking the right measurements, but I have heard that sometimes the people at RK Bridal will help you and assist you, but they just won't write down a number for you.

I'm doing this my with BMs. The girl that helped us while we were there had my mom measure my MOH and the one BM that was there and told her if she was doing it wrong or if it looked right to her. The other BMs are going to a seamstress to be measured and you just check the measurements with the size chart and order the size that you need. It's really easy and it's not that terrible as long as they all get measured by someone who knows what they are doing. Also, each girl doesn't have to pick up their own dresses -- the bride can pick them all up at once if you choose to do so!

Wish my bride was so nice! Haha! My grandma did the measurements for me and she's a sewing queen so I trust her. I placed the order via fax so I didn't even have to go there.

ITA... for my brothers wedding they ordered all of us crazy size... my oldest sister is the smallest of the 4 of us and on her worst day she is an 8... they ordered her a 12... and we all took care of our own alterations just so we didnt have to pay crazy prices
