I found this board and saw a picture of tammy from her wedding and I recognized her - we used to sit at barbri table together...lol She got me into this board.

So there are 4 of us from touro on here...that is too funny - we should all gtg for lunch or dinner some night

I walked on the 25th - but I don't officially graduate until July - my FH is at cooley but he is doing extremely well there and thinks he will be transfering at the end of the summer - BUT he doesn't know where he will be - so I don't know what bar to take - he won't find out until end of july to middle of August - I planned on moving to join where ever that might be in August. I didn't want to take the bar in july - b/c MI and NY and I think PA are all the same day - so I didn't know which to take - so I figured I would finish in a more relaxed fashion in july - taking entertainment law and doing my pro bono - and then I have plenty of time to figure out what bar(s) to take in feb. When he finds out where he will be I will need to find a job - but afraid who will hire me when I will have to quit for bar study in Dec? Thinking of temping - but open to suggestions

Contracts TA for Prof McQueary-Smith and then skills sessions for 1Ls.

I don't think you should wait too long to take the Bar....ANY Bar no matter what state because the longer you wait out of law school the harder it will be.

I had McQuery Smith - I was one of the few people who did well in her class who she didn't bother...I thought she was funny - I taught myself contracts - BUT she did an amazing job teaching us issue spoting - which was vital for everything -

Do you still keep in touch with her? My friend was her research assistant - By the way - I spoke to her at graduation and she told me she is going on sabatical this year

I can't take the july bar now - b/c I am still taking classes I don't finish until July. I didn't want to take the MI bar and find out I will be in NY or the NY bar and find out I'm living in MI then it would be a waste of time - I'm not sure if I want to practice anyway - but I want to take the bar for myself. After living with my FH for years then having him up and move to MI has been miserable if I took the bar here and he didn't transfer to NY - after many discussions with my father (who is also an attorney) he felt it was best to wait and take the one I want rather than take one in July - never use it and have to take another in Feb for the state I wanted to the first time (he took 2 1) NY when he grad from W&L and worked at Sherman and sterling, and the 2) when we moved to Tenn). If the states he was looking at were not given the same day I would have finished up rather than putting off my last three credits and my pro bono. So we decided to hold off until Feb. I think it actually works out better in some ways -
