Speaking of cars, does anyone here have roadside assistance? If so, who do you have it with? I used to have AAA and I let it expire but I'm not sure why. DH is a former mechanic but my commute is almost 90 miles roundtrip daily and I can't rely on him to drop everything and drive what could be way out of his way to help. Believe it or not, I know how to change a tire, but frankly, I'd rather someone else do it.
Thanks!

Re: Roadside Assistance
I had AAA and they were great, I had to use them twice and it was very fast. We now have Geico and I had to use them recently and they were great too. I had a tried and hungry baby and a car full of groceries and their gas station got to me in 10 minutes

Something to know about roadassistance from your insurance carrier
As you read this, know that I now have my coverage with GEICO and am a big fan of their product...but something happened with DH's policy that I think is worth sharing.
Before DH and I were married, he had GEICO and used their roadside assistance a few times. After we were married, I called our agent to modify my policy to add him on (I had a different ins. co then). She ran a report on him and it showed a whole bunch of claims! She asked me if he had been in a bunch of accidents and I told her no....when I showed him the report, he said they were all the times he used GEICOs road side assistance. She was then able to explain it to my carrier - b/c they wanted to jack up my premium big time because he had so many insurance 'claims'!
I never thought about it before...and GEICO definately didn't explain this to him when he had his policy. I've maintained an AAA membership for us since then. Thankfully, we haven't needed it but I know its there...and I know it won't show up on my insurance report.

Re: Roadside Assistance
Thanks everyone. I think I'll join AAA again. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on someone who does it cheaper.
