So I want to take pics here but I'm drawing a blank....is there a light house there??? And does anyone know the rules of going there during the summer season-like do I need a pass to get in with the limos?

I just got my pass for summer to take wedding pics. Its 100 dollars and you go through the parks dept. When we took our engagement pics we didnt get the permit because who was going to know but if 3 limos pull up and a girl in a wedding gown they can kick you out without the permit.

Re: Robert Moses
have to walk kind of a long ways to the lighthouse on the wooden boardwalk. its beautiful but a trek!
you can park in the main parking lot and as far as i knew you dont need a permit to park there, but you may have to pay a fee.

we took our e-pics there. parked in field 5, which is the closest to the light house. it's actually not super close, but you can get some great pics of it in the background. here's one...

How long is the walk from the parking lot to the lighthouse? I figure I'm only going to have an hour and a half between taking pics at the church and the cocktail hour. And the place is in Bay Shore

i took my epics there (in my album).. i parked at the far end of field 5 and it was under a 10 minute walk to the lighthouse.. we didn't need a permit - you may just have to pay parking to enter the beach parking lot if it is during the summer
ETA: you are getting married the day before me at the same place i am in the process of trying to find day of picture spot - you shouldn't have as much trouble as i would crossing the bridge since you are on a friday, but cushion for beach traffic

yep, there's a lighthouse. We took our e-pics there (see album).
I'm pretty sure with a limo you'll need to get a permit. I didn't have one, but i don't *think* you're supposed to take pics there without it. Check out their website.. it might tell you there! Beach

I love your pics! How much time do you have between the church and the reception? I'm worried I will hit traffic since its the last day of school.
