Robinsons Tea Room

Has anyone been to the Robinsons Tea Room in Stony Brook? Or any 'tea party' as a bridal/baby shower? Any feedback would be great?

Robinsons Tea Room

My MIL is pretty sure we are going to have a shower for my SIL to be there. From what I know so far it is 17pp upto 16 people after that there is an additional 150 charge because they have to close the place. Also for a Saturday we have to have it from 5-7, which isn`t the greatest. My MIL is going there to check it out so I`ll let you know. Apparently it is behind or right near the shopping area in Stony Brook.

Been there-it`s terrific

The food, atmosphere, and service are excellent. I was looking into it for my bridesmaid`s lunch.

Great! Question though, how much food are you served?

the food

Plenty: the tes service comes with one scone per person (they`re huge, about five inches in diameter) with cream and jam, different little sandwiches including tuna salad, ham salad, shrimp salad, , cucumber and cream cheese and turkey, and also quiches. Desserts are seasonal, maybe a fruit tart for the summer, I think they had petit fours decorated like gift wrapped boxes in the winter. It`s definitely enough food. I don`t think they have a website but Stonybrook Village, which it`s located in, probably does. Let me know if you decide on it, I love it there! I`d recommend it to anyone.
