ok so i've read that some couples will have pebbles or rocks for their guests to put in a jar and the couple uses it for their garden as a reminder of their wedding. do you think this is lame? what if i were to have people sign the pebbles/rocks? im trying to think of personal touches for the wedding
ive heard that but this is different because its something that the bride and groom keeps and puts in their garden. *shrugs*

i think it would be along the lines of a wish bowl. the pebbles would be provided by the bride and groom to be signed at the wedding... instead of a guest book.

you would have to have a little poem or something next to it so people would know what to do, but i totally get what you are saying. and i'm pretty sure i've heard of it, though i don't know where. it's kind of like a wishbowl, but unique. i think it's cute.

My cousin recently had this. They had rocks that were large enought to write your name on. it was a cute touch. It was at the CH and then they brought it into the reception and the DJ reminded everyone to do it.

I LOVE that idea. I've never heard of it, but what a genuine idea. I know Michaels has all those little rocks that you could get so they are nice and smooth. You could have sharpies and have people write messages on them. That's a lovely idea!
the only thing im worried about is that the ink will run in the rain, and will it look stupid with rocks with words on them in a garden?

I like the idea but I would later keep the pebbles in a nice vase. I like the idea of people signing them, even writing messages. Knowing me, I could see 15 years later bringing someone their pebble so they could see what they wrote. I'd use this idea as a way of having a unique sign in board.
