Hi all - I am going to Disney next week and will be almost 10 wks at that time. I am trying to determine if it would be ok for me to go on space mountain (my favorite) and other similar rides. I know the signs at the entrace say that expentant mothers should not ride, but I am thinking (or hoping) that it is meant for those much farther along in their pregnancy? Did anyone go on any roller coasters or similar rides while pregnant? Thanks!

I am only 14 weeks pregnant and did not go on a roller coaster in Vegas. I personally did not want to risk it b/c even though they are safe, the issue is the jerky movements are not good for you.
I personally would not, but that is me. I would suggest you talk to your doctor

I was in Disney when I was about 20 weeks and I steered clear of all thrill rides. The only thing I did do that wasn't recommended for pregnant women was the Safari in the the Animal Kingdom, but my doctor said it was okay. I honestly don't know why that ride recommended preggos sit out... it was no more bumpy than riding a school bus (which, as a teacher I did several times throughout my pregnancy).

I wouldn't chance it. In general, I think there are so many things that are out of your control while pregnant, that for me, I will definately be sure to steer clear of any thing in my control that could cause the slightest harm to the baby.

I wouldn't do it. I went on a cruise when I was about 14 weeks preggo and my doctor told me I couldn't go on the rock climbing wall

I wouldn't chance it either - even though the little bean is pretty padded in there - Space Mountain has some nasty drops and twists - why risk it. Hate to say you are limited to Fantasyland rides. Buzz Lightyear is a fun ride too! But if you are still questioning it, ask your OB for their advice

OK - I asked my OB - she said NO WAY!!!!!! Oh well, at least I can go on Haunted Mansion!!!
