Rollerblade experts??

Rollerblade experts??

I just bought my sister these:
K2 Skates

(I cant get the photo attached )
Anyway, after I get home, I read up on them (should have done that beforehand!
) and it says they are 'Recreational' which sounds more like a beginner skate. Although shes not a beginner, I would say more like Int-Adv, She really only rollerblades around the streets/parks, and no fancy stunts. But they have the same wheel size as the next model up. The only difference is that these are not aluminum casing. Does that make a big difference in the speed/ pickup?

Im not really CRAZY about anything I've seen. These that I bought with the straps, I just read a review that someones strap broke and now theyre useless . A different model has laces, which looks like they can rip so easily... and these are one of the best brands out there (K2)..

Am I safe with what I purchased ? or should I get something different? Im looking to spend no more than $150.

I don't know a whole lot about roller blades, but those are the ones I have, except last years style. My FH also has the men's version and we are both very happy with them. We were beginners when we bought them.

Are the straps strong? Does the fabric wear easily?

We haven't had any problems with the straps breaking or the fabric wearing. My FH is the type of person to think about these things before purchasing anything and he had no concerns about buying them. I like them because they are so comfortable. They feel like sneakers. We rollerbladed to the beach several times a week last summer and no problems at all. Make sure you get her some padding to go with it. I saw quite a few nasty spills on the path.
