Romona Keveza - UPDATED with BM dresses

Hi Ladies,

I ordered my dress last weekend, and now all of a sudden, I am having second thoughts. I still absolutely love the style of the dress, but am worried that I'm not going to be able to move in it very well... So I'm wondering if any other brides have worn my dress, and if it was impossible to dance in..

It's Romona Keveza, I'm going to try to attach a picture... but bare with me, this is my first time.


I really hope someone else has worn this dress....

Thanks guys... I feel so much better now. Oh, and btw, the bridesmaid dress is Bill levkoff and it really looks great on - very flattering!

Hi-
I just wanted to say this was one dress that i loved - but never had the chance to try on - I just kept forgetting about when I went to Kleinfelds, Manhasset, etc. b/c i was focused on this other Amsale dress. Anyway - it's gorgeous.

Regarding the movemenet factor-you def. can't go too crazy like making sudden lunges or anything, but for regular dancing i think you should be fine. I tried on a similarly Vera Wang dress and that's what i discovered when i did a little 'test dancing' in the dressing room.

I WAS SUPPOSED TO GET IT- BUT IN PERSON ITS VERY BRIDAL. MY MOM THOUGHT IT WAS TOO MUCH FOR A BRIDESMAID-ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU SEE THE BACK OF IT AND THE TRAIN

All right girls, now I have another question...

what do you think of this as my bridesmaid dress?? Just reverse the colors. The darker color will be the dress, the lighter color, the sash.

Be honest, is it too bridal???


I honestly do not think it's too bridal, especially if you reverse the color. My BM dresses also have a little train in the back, and it's in a champagne color. Needless to say, against your dress, people will definitely NOT mix it up!

I actually have seen the BM dress in person... I tried on my gown, and had one of my BM's try on her dress next to me. Hopefully in the darker color, it will not look too bridal. It was also difficult because my dress has it's own uniqueness to it too.... who knows....

Remember this:
1) You will ALWAYS stand out...no matter what, b/c you're the Bride...Your dress is COMPLETELY different from the BM dress...believe me...you have nothing to worry about.
2) It's your wedding...do what you want!!!

My honest opinion. Even if you keep the color the way it is now in the picture, it's beautiful! If you decide to revert the colors...it's still beautiful, and NOT too dark for May at all! You can bring out the lighter colored sash w/their flowers....no such thing as 'too dark' - unless of course it's like Hunter Green VELVET.

The material of the BM dress is perfect for your time of the year...that sometimes matters more than the color!

that's the BM dress i'm using!!! i LOVE IT!!!

i'm getting it in lilac with a violet sash. it is so flattering and just beautiful!

Hi Date Twin!!!

Guess What.........????? I p;picked the same exact BM dress when I went with my girls!!! We like it in the maize color with and Ivory sash!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it and definitely do not think its too bridal!! Its between this dress and another by Watters and Watters!!

I almost went with Maize for our BM dresses, but then I saw a SWATCH...it's very YELLOW and I nixxed it b/c I thought it would be golden!

I love Jim Hjelm!!!!!

The cashmere is a light beige...and most of the samples come in that color for that satin material.

I actually saw a sample dress in Maize and loved it, it didn't look that yellow, it was a soft buttercream looking color.....its by Bill Levkoff

Klarabelle - I can't believe we picked the same dress!! Your color combo sounds so pretty. I'm not very good at invisioning colors though. Where are you ordering your dresses from? I think I'll probably order them in late sept/early oct...

Have you seen a swatch of maize? I'm curious to see what it really looks like.

Have you picked out your dress yet??? let's see pics!!!

Hi everyone!!! I also just picked out the same bm dress...but I still am not certain about the colors.My wedding is in June and I like pink or purples normally. When I saw it in the champagne I fell in love with it! I am not sure how the champagne will stand out next to my dress since its in Ivory. Whats everyone oppions.
