I ordered my dress last weekend, and now all of a sudden, I am having second thoughts. I still absolutely love the style of the dress, but am worried that I'm not going to be able to move in it very well... So I'm wondering if any other brides have worn my dress, and if it was impossible to dance in..
It's Romona Keveza, I'm going to try to attach a picture... but bare with me, this is my first time.
I really hope someone else has worn this dress....

I would go back to the store and try it on again and really move around in it to see what limitations you have. Perhaps ask the sales people if they have any suggestions? Its a beautiful dress!

i loved that gown, but when i tried it on i thought the same thing because the skirt is cut to more of mermaid than ballgown. its very fitted to the knee and that was a problem to me...but the dress is beautiful!!!

thanks everyone! I think I am going to go back and try it on. The only problem is that the seamstress has to bustle it for me... no one in the shop really knows how to bustle it, and that's the only way to really know if I'll be able to dance in it...
I just love it and think maybe I'll sacrifice walking... lol

Why dont you have them call the designer so that the designer can recommend a bustle for this particular dress.

Believe it or not, this dress comes with specific instructions on how to bustle it, unless i'm an idiot and every dress comes with instructions. It gets bustled so that all the pleats in the back line up together.... They kind of gave me an idea of what it would look like in the salon.
The problem is that I love it so much, I don't know if I really want to change gowns. I guess when my dress comes in I'll just make sure the seamstres knows that I will need ample room to get down on the dance floor!!!

That's an awesome dress!
I know with my dress designer since I am ordering from her salon and not a bridal salon that ofers many brands, she will change the dress anyway I want. Maybe you can ask them to make the bottom not as fitted?

I just adore that dress. I'm also a Romona Keveza bride. I had already picked out my dress, but wanted to try that dress on anyway because it's so beautiful - thank God I was dead set against strapless, or I might've been a 2 dress bride......
Figure this...... ANY wedding gown is going to be somewhat uncomfortable/difficult. Make sure you wear really comfy shoes.
That dress is just too dramatic to pass up!

I am a Romona Bride too. Her dresses are very dramatic but are made from such incredible silk that DOES give way to movement. I assure you that you will be able to move. I am just worried about undergarments for mine! I hope the cups that I plan to have sewn in actually work and my boobs are not down to my knees!

The only picture I have from the front, my sister took with her camera phone when I was trying it on. You can see the image reflected in the mirror. Note: the dress I tried on is a bridal size 10 which is like a regular size 6. I usually wear a size 10 but had to order it in a 14. So it looks very tight. I assure you, it wont look that bad when I get it!
