Roosevelt Field shopping trip...
FH and I went shopping at Roosevelt Field Mall yesterday, thought I'd share!
We got a large wish bowl and a smaller one too (for the pens) at Pottery Barn. We could have gotten them much cheaper at Michael's but FH likes PB and actually had an opinion about them, so I let him splurge.
We can use them as vases later, and we like the 'egg' shape. (photo attached)
We went to Papyrus, looking for anything placecard/menu/table number/scrapbook related and realized that Michael's has a much better selection for that type of stuff. But we did buy our Thank You cards there. We probably could have spent less elsewhere, some of the elaborate thank-you's were $16. for 16 cards. Ours were cheaper but they're very pretty.
NY & Company is having a Buy-One, Get-One 1/2 off sale (and some of the stuff is 40% off too). They have a lot of nice capri pants, shorts, cargo pants, cute tops, lots of accessories and cute beach bags. You also get coupons at checkout, I got 10 'save $15 when you spend $30' coupons but they're only good between 5/10 and 5/13. Turns out, I have to exchange two pairs of pants for 'tall' length instead of 'average', so I might just use one of the coupons if I can find things similar to what I bought but in different colors.
Victoria's has none of their bridal lingerie line in their store. I was thinking of going to Fredrick's or ordering from them online. They tend to be cheaper and my friend said they have classy chemise sets.
All in all, a productive day. I just didn't have the strength to try to find a bathing suit. Does anyone know where is a good place to find a cheap one-piece for someone that isn't an exhibitionist?![]()
