Any advice on how to make these? I'm just trying to figure out what kind of paper to use....cardstock maybe? I think there's a template for them...does anyone have it? Any advice would be great! My wedding isn't until October, but I'm trying to get a lot out of the way now while I have the time.

I've seen pics fm girls who did this. Try the DIY forum and also do a search for the cones you should definatley find something.
If I do this I would use cardstock and double sided adhesive tape to just roll it into the cone shape and tape it on the inner part so the tape doesn't show on the outside. Also, there are some cute sayings/poems you can put on a sticker and put that on the cone too. I've seen that in pics as well.

someone posted a link to this yesterday...lemme see if i can bump it, it was to a girls blog where she DIYed it....i would use a little thicker than computer paper, but i made it with computer paper and it worked fine!

What are petal cones used for? Whats the point of getting them? Sorry... not trying to be rude- I just really dont know what they are used for.

You put rose petals in them so guests can throw them as you leave the church. It;s just an inexpensive way to make something to hold the petals in.

Where do you get the petals from. Doesn't that get expensive. I think I have to cross this DIY off my list because my mom says buying all the rose petals is going to be soooo expensive :(

Oh I gottcha, so instead of blowing bubbles or bird seed.... you throw rose petals?

I drew a circle in MS Word and put my monogram in the middle. I printed it out on cardstock and then cut them out. I put a doily around them. It was super easy!
