Rose Petal holders

I was wondering what everyone used/is using for the rose petals that get thrown after the ceremony? I would like to use something different than the cones because I've seen that a lot lately (12 weddings in 12 months!). Except I can't think of anything else other than a big basket with the petals just in there and have everyone just grab a handful on the way out. But my mom is worried the flowers will disintegrate while they are waiting for the receiving line to end and us to walk out (guest list over 300 so thinking the receiving line is going to take a while).

Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

Maybe little pull string bags...I have seen potpourri in bags like this....kind of see through looking silky fabric...HTH

I'm doing the baskets and not worried about them getting ruined. I think that people will be careful with them and not crush them. Even if there is a little crush going on, they won't destroy them. You can even ask two of your BM's to wait until the line is 1/2 way done and then go outside and hand them out. The people outside will be getting antsy anyway....seeing people walk around with baskets will get them interested and refocused lol
