My Mom keeps saying she doesn't think the church allows real rose petals. Does anyone know if their church has a policy regarding this??

My church is strict! No rose petals anywhere, not even the flower girl can throw them, no rice, no bird seed, no aisle runner, no candles!

My church doesnt allow rose petals to be thrown outside. But I found this website that sells preserved rose petals, that you wont slip on, so I'm going to check them out...
My friends church didn't allow an aisle runner..she was not happy. But the floor was marble and new and slick!

I have been told that real rose petals can stain the carpet/floor. Check with your church. I'm doing silk rose petals.

My church is no flowers at all on the floor! so my flower girl is going to do what? grrr it makes me angry ooooooo and no runner for me to walk on!

Hey kluva, It all depends on the church, some will let you and some (i think most actually) won't. You have to ask your church. My first church (OLPH) said no petals at all. My second church (our lady of mercy) is letting us do them as long as we have someone clean up after. kgirl

I'm still trying to find out if my Church allows petals. What are you going to have your flower girl do??? This is my current dilemma (there will be many more to come!). My sister got married at the same Church and was allowed a runner but I have no idea what to do about the rose petals.
