I have a knife edge solitaire and I briefly thought about getting a eternity band until every jeweler I went to told me that they can never be sized once you have them initially sized. So, I'm going to be getting a channel set band with the diamonds on the front of the ring.

I think I am going to do the same thing. I just want the diamonds around the front half since thats all you will see anyway .

I wanted an eternity ring but when I looked into I heard of lots of problems with diamonds on the bottom with sizing and with diamonds becoming loose and falling out. I also wanted pave diamonds but have heard they require lots of work because they shift etc.
So channel set or prong set is sturdier.

I've heard of the same problems. I'm very rough with my rings. So, I can't afford to be replacing diamonds. Getting a channel set is definately the way to go for me.

i have a round solitare with channel set diamonds on the side and i choose a diamond prong set eternity band for my wedding ring. i did not want a matching set, i ove my rings together.

I heard that from many people but I was also told that is not true. That with an eternity band, they will grind down the gold in the center of the ring if it needs to be made larger. I was concerned about that as well.

I love the plain band on e-ring/eternity band look. I have a micro-pave setting on e-ring and am going to match the band with the band of the e-ring. I think it may end up being too much so I want to make sure my wedding band is very thin.
