Re: Royalton

I just found out last week. They are adding another room...its another 'family' room, where I think the guys can go and smoke cigars. I'm excited...I was thinking of getting FH some nice cigars for him to smoke with his dad and groomsmen...this is perfect.

Where is the room?! is there space taken away from anywhere else?

We actually just booked cigar rollers but figured they'd just go outside!

Hi Ladies-

the room is not taking space from anywhere else...it is on your way to the bridal suite on your left, a room.

I was there 2 weeks ago approx. and it was under construction so you couldnt really tell what it is going to look like but they described it and it sounds beautiful. They also siad it would be finished real quick so nobody should have to worry! Has a fireplace wine bar, couches and a humidor..

Definitly a nice surprise!

Re: Royalton

We were just in the other day, you definitely have to pay extra to use the new room, along the same lines as a regular after party, just more intimate, maybe for the wedding party... I think you can use the room before the wedding as another to house relatives while picutres are going on, or getting ready.
Room is supposed to be ready next week.

Re: Royalton

I was just there this past week, and they said it should be done in the next week or 2. I liked the fireplace, though I don't think it will be useful in May . Are any of you getting your hair done at the Royalton on the day of, and know anybody that is willing to do that? (I live in Boston, so I don't have a clue about the area!)

Re: Royalton

I was there last night, and the room looks really nice. It wil be done by the end of this month. Its right across the hall from the grooms room. We are seriously considering using this room, and they are going to get back to me today with pricing for it. We'll probably bring our own cigars, so the cost wont be as high..

BTW- we had our tasting last night, and the food is out of this world!!

Yes it is !
I am alittle peeved about paying extra for that room , I really think it should be included , especially if you bring your own cigars !

Supposedly its MUCH less expensive if you bring your own cigars. Did you find out how much it was? THey are supposed to call me back today with pricing...if its really cost prohibitive we are not goign to do it, but I think it would be nice since we do have some cigar smokers.

I imagine people will sneak away during the reception to smoke cigars. I really dont want people smoking cigars while I'm getting ready in the bridal suite next door!

We are taking over the bar area in the hotel where the OOT guets are staying for anyone who is still hanging around afterwards.
