when do you think people are going to use it? During cocktail hour, after party, all night?? sorry im just not really getting it lol.

also did any of you ladies book an after party? either with the royalton or elsewhere?

thanks for the help!

haha Thats what my dad said ( he is the cigar smoker ) and he didn't get it either , like when will people be smoking , he said its not necessary

I am not booking an afterparty ( we thought about it , the wedding wont end till 1 AM for me , and I want some alone time with FH hehe) I am staying at the royalton overnight .

I didn't ask any costs yet, but for the amount we are paying for our weddings, I think it should be included

Not really related to anything we've been discussing, but I just LOVE the Royalton! It really is the place of my dreams! Every time I go there, I fall in love with it a little more. The beautiful hardwood floors, the understated chandeliers, the mahogany bar, the outdoor patio (PRAY FOR NICE WEATHER ON MAY 4!!), the most gorgeous bridal suite I have ever seen...

I know how u feel!!!! So did u see the new room and find out about the fees??? I am dying to find out what they are going to charge for it and I dont know if I am feeling the fact that it is upstairs and near the bridal suite. If people wanna smoke Gerard mentioned they could smoke in the tent if u arent using it for the ceremony for smokers to go outside and being in the winter the tent is useful...let me know what else happened when u went...what is the schedule for tastings, etc ...thanks

Re: Royalton

I did see the new room, its almost done. It should be done by the end of the month. They will be getting a bar and some nice furniture in there. The room is actually directly across from the grooms room, down the hall from the bridal suite. I DEFINITELY dont want people smoking in there when I'm in the bridal suite. They do have a smoke eater, but still. We did get pricing, I will FM you that info. We're still undecided as to whether we're going to do it. FFIL is a big cigar smoker and he will have to go somewhere.

We went a few weeks ago (about 2 months before the wedding) to pick the menu and discuss other logistics...how many people we think we'll have, chose table linens, give them a picture of the cake, let them know our vendors, what time we'd be getting there, all that good stuff. We went back about a week later for the tasting. We had a hard time deciding between a few different options, so they made it all for us and we made our decisions. They sent over a copy of everything, so now I'm creating the menus! I dont think there is anything left to do with them until the week of the wedding.

Yay fellow Royalton brides!

I guess either one....I'm sure they will contact you if you don't get in touch with them. I happened to be there in January for some reason, so Mike mentioned that we'd do the menu and tasting the next months. So I just called and made an appointment.

They do, but I never email them. I tried emailing Mike T. once and he never responded, so now I just call whenever I need to speak to them.

Re: Royalton

I would definitely call the Royalton and try to schedule whatever appointments you can. I think if you explain your need to tie things down, they will accommodate you. I was in grad school in CT up until the WEEK before my wedding so I wanted to make sure things were set before I went away. I have to say I didn't ask many questions throughout the whole process, I just kind of placed my trust in them, and everything turned out wonderful. BUT, if you have questions you want answered now, I wouldn't wait for them to call you. Good luck!!

I have some pics in my album, I'm not sure how well you can see the room because they were taken by guests, but there are few other royalton girls on here who have pics posted in their albums too.

the room is an addo on of $750 from what i understood ..i went on Wed. It's going to include many exotic cigars/wines etc. the suite is next to the office room. before the 2 steps to the bridal suite. i don't get the 'after party' thing bc the room is like a mini living room. anyhoot it's a nice add on- BUT i hope it's not going to STINK like Cigar STANK..............bc @ the Carltun if u go to the Cigar room it reeeeks!

Re: Royalton

Re: Royalton
