A word of advice, if you are having the Viennese table. Make sure that you drag yourself away from your guests and get over to the table. DH missed the entire Viennese table, and now that he sees the pictures of them, he's really mad that he didnt get to have any of the goodies!

If you can't, then make sure you have someone bring you a plate of goodies before everything is gone.

Re: Royalton Brides

Thanks again, but there's not a chance that I will miss any type of dessert!!!

I hadn't decided weather to do the plated or Viennese (I think those are the options)

The florists are right down the street from my job which is convenient, but I hear they are $$$. I guess all flowers are though, right?

Any other tips for the new girl would be greatly appreciated.

I heart the Royalton!

Re: Royalton Brides

I was undecided about the plated dessert and the viennese table because I think it is sooo cheesy when they wheel this thing into the middle of the dance floor and I have seen where they have the bride and groom walk about it like inspecting it. I thought that was really bad.

I said I only want it if they put it in the cocktail room. I do not want my dance floor taken up by the dessert. I'm paying so much money for a band, I want people to enjoy dancing. They assured me it will not be on the dance floor, in that case why not have it. So many choices rather than just the plated dessert.

I'm actually trying to get a hold of Spitz & Peck to make an appointment to see my sample. I've done everything but the dress, invitations and photographer.

They set up the Viennese in the cocktail room..they open up the doors to the ballroom. I defintely wanted it...its gluttonous, but people LOVE it.

I opted no viennese ( sp? ) table just because I am not a fan . I will have plated desert instead.

In terms of the flowers , go with a budget in mind and both spitz and steffens ( steffens more , i have been told) will work with your budget .

Thanks for the tips. I never would have thought about the placement of the Viennese table. I was leaning toward that because there are so many more options too.

I just saw both florists' buildings for the first time today when I was getting lunch. I can literally walk there from my job. So random that they are nowhere near Roslyn.

What kind of CPs do you girls want (or had if you've already been married)? When we went there for the first time last month they were setting up and had cherry blossom branches. They were so beautiful. Too bad they aren't in season in the fall.

I LOVE THIS THREAD!

I'm working with Brian at S&P and doing all orchids with lots of candles.

I had to go smaller on the flowers because they are so expensive to do. But more doesn't mean classier ;)0

I think I did! Random question, was it kind of cloudy, looked like rain earlier in the afternoon? The ceremony was set up for outside, and then it cleared up?

I have to check my planner, but it definitely could have been your wedding! FH and I constantly talk about how beautiful the cherry blossom branches were! They are part of what sold us on the Royalton (a small part, but still a part!), they made the room look amazing. Where did you get them?
