awesome!!! and congrats on booking. how much extra was the 'after party' and what is included. i want to do it, but our wedding is on a sunday and i dont know how many people will stay?????

The price is between $1,500 and $3,500. It really depends on what you want. $1,500 is pretty much just an extended open bar/staff. If you want food, cigars, candy buffet it's more. I too would wonder how many would stay for a Sunday wedding, but if your family is anything like mine, they'll be there! What I mean is, maybe your closest 50 would stay? HTH!!

october brides, are you hoping to get married outside? i'm worried it's going to be too cold and too dark. i really hope it's ok! gerard promises the lighting is good in the garden but i don't know.

is anyone having a brunch the next morning for oot guests? i can't decide between the claremont and the garden city hotely.

suggestion for the menu - take sample menus from other places (i'm using the carlyle and the carlton's menus for ideas) - they were our next choices.

I've been doing well, and planning is going well. I honestly want to stop by on Sunday and say hello!! I live 3 mins away from it lol. Well good luck again, and can't wait to see your pics!!

A farewell table is on the way out you can do a candy bar or cookies with cocoa for people to take home...I was going to do one but I figured it is a Sunday night is there really a need for one??!! I dont know I just didnt feel like it was neccessary or worth the extra expense at this point!!

IM WAY OVERBUDGET!!!!!


Last dress fitting tomorrow then I pick it up Friday!!!

YEA!!!!!!! 4 more days!!!!!

I was picturing something like that. I am doing a winter wonderland type of theme... so it kinda goes nicely with that... but I will wait that out and see where I am with the budget. We splurged on the honeymoon and florist... and I have time to decide later. But it's nice to know about!
I like reading all the information on here.. it really gives you a lot of insight into some things i never thought of before. Like asking for the fireplaces turned on!!!! I wouldn't of thought to ask for that.. but now I know! I've never been in a wedding... and haven't attended all that many weddings.

I just went dress shopping for the first time last weekend and I have a few more appointments coming up. Does anyone have any suggestions for places to go? I went to The Bridal Suite and Davids Bridal. Davids Bridal was a madhouse and after coming from a smaller boutique it was well... different to say the least. After just the one day of dress shopping I am now EXTREMELY motivated to lose some weight though!!!!!

Abby where did you get your dress? Hopefully we will all get to see pics of you in it soon!!!!!! I'm excited for you!!!!! I almost wish my wedding was coming up in just a few days!!!!! I still have a good amount of planning to do... so I'm glad it isn't.

I got my dress in Massapequa at bridal reflections...if u go ask for mary lou she is awesome!!!!!!!.Im psyched....only 4 days.....gerard and mike wll put the fireplaces on anytime after sept instantly and otherwise u need to ask for them...but in dec i know they will be on!!!

I got my shoes at Shoe Elegancw in Lynbrook...They were super nice in there and totally affordable...They also didnt charge me to dye them to ivory!!!
