Just so you know I got direction cards and table setting cards from Gerard. They are very nice.

Re: Royalton Brides
We are probably going to spend the night at the Glen Cove Mansion. We really like it there. We might have an informal after party in the pub and maybe do a next day brunch there. I still haven't planned that part, but it's what we are throwing around.

we are spending the night there as well, its such a nice room and will probably want to crash after the wedding. Just met with Stefan's today and used Josh..it was amazing --he is within budget and is giving us all we asked for and more!

we're thinking of spending the night as well, still not 100%. we have plenty of time to decide.

Re: Royalton Brides
We spent the night there and it was nice! We built a fire and just relaxed. We had so much adrenaline from the wedding that we stayed up until 4am!
t was nice not to have to think about booking a hotel to go to and packing up your things. Since we got ready there in the morning, it gave us time to sort through our things the next morning.
Definitely a nice option to have!
It was definitely sad leaving the Royalton in the morning though... booo hoo the wedding is over...

Re: Royalton Brides
no I don't think so. since it was an April wedding...it wasn't cold, but I would ask if they turn them on during the winter...it's a nice touch.....

Re: Royalton Brides
im hoping its not too cold on my wedding day, but i'd still like to see them on, i think it would look beautiful. if not i have already told s&p that i want a ton of lit candles in the fireplaces.

Re: Royalton Brides
I think that Mike said they are gas and don't give off too much heat so they can have them on if you want

They were on for our December wedding, and it added to the overall ambience of the Royalton

The fireplaces were on for our May wedding. It turned out be a beautiful day, but it was chilly and rainy in the morning. The only reason I knew they were on is because I saw it in the video!

Re: Royalton Brides
Hello everyone! I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My fiance Michael and I just booked the Royalton on Wednesday! We're so excited. Everything looks so great. I haven't met with florists yet-I'm doing that next week. I've heard mixed reviews on both, and I don't have a super-huge budget so...we shall see.
Have any of you already married ladies had after parties there? I'd be curious to know what you guys did for it. That was important to us, so we wrote it into our contract. It's going to be from 1 am to 3 am in the cocktail area, with cigars,cognacs/brandy, food (I' thinking mini burgers and mini grilled cheeses!), and a candy buffet (and the bar stays open, of course). The kicker is we're setting up a plasma screen with a full Rock Band setup!!!!! It'll be so much fun for our friends, and who knows, maybe our parents and family will try it out. My fiance and his groomsmen love me haha. Well, all you ladies seem so nice, I look forward to all our planning and helping each other out :)

The price is between $1,500 and $3,500. It really depends on what you want. $1,500 is pretty much just an extended open bar/staff. If you want food, cigars, candy buffet it's more. I too would wonder how many would stay for a Sunday wedding, but if your family is anything like mine, they'll be there! What I mean is, maybe your closest 50 would stay? HTH!!
