Royalton Ladies

Original post by agchunk

I think I know the answer to this question but wanted to make sure...if you use recommended vendors from the Royalton, are their meals free?

Also, advice/thoughts on Stefans and Spitz and Peck?
Thanks for the help.

Yes, didn't want a carving station so we're doing the grill out back, plus it creates more room inside

Vendors they told me were $35 a plate I thought. That would be for the DJ, Photographer, Videographer I'm guessing. Also I'm using S+P Huntington location. I did not have a great experience with Stefan's, and although S+P are more expensive, I was much happier with them than Stefan's. Good luck!!! FM me for details or more questions.

i second everything above. working with maddie from s&p in cedarhurst-love her.

Hi Girls -

Everyone's flower budget is different and supposedly S&P and Stefans are two of the most expensive florists on LI but I was actually pleasantly surprised with the quote I got from S&P. They're doing 10 bo-ks, about 15 high CPs (with some orchids, hydrandga and some other white and green flowers that I can't remember), plus all the room and cake decor for $4,500. That might be a lot but I have some friends getting married in NYC and spending more than triple that on flowers so I was happy with the quote. Plus Maddy is super sweet. I love her.

New question - for those girls hoping to get married outside in the garden, do you think there is enough room for a bigger sized wedding party to stand up there with you? We have 17 adults and 3 kids in our wedding party - how they heck are they all going to fit in that small space up there with us?!? I guess we're going to have to do two rows of people?

Wow - that's a great quote for everything you are getting!!! What are you doing in the cocktail hour room? I met with someone from Stefan's and Spitz and Peck and was happy with both meetings. Not sure who to go with. S&P did quote us much higher than Stefan's.

In the cocktail hour room I think they're just going to do some small little floral accents around the cocktail stations and on the cocktail tables and trays but nothing too big. Maddy also told us that we didn't need anything for the ceremony b/c the Royalton's garden is already so pretty and floral. I think all she's doing for the ceremony is an iron fence with flowers to go behind us and the judge who's marrying us. I thought it was nice of her to not push for us to spend more on decorating the ceremony area. So altogether I think we're getting the bo-ks, the CPs, a big floral arrangement for when guests first walk into the foyar and then just some smaller floral decor around the CH room and on the cake. Did you meet with Maddy when you visited S&P? She's really great. Maybe give her a try and see if she's any more reasonable than the people you first met with there. Good luck!

did you see a sample of your flowers yet? I am trying to find samples as we speak to send over to s&P so they can make me a new sample. I was up to $5k and didn't feel like I had any flowers. I am looking for something with orchids, hydragenas, calilyllies, etc. Would love to see anyone pics of tall white centerpieces

I got nervous when I saw that some brides were paying for vendors. I was quoted a price and vendors were free. So I started thinking I messed up or they changed it or something??

I booked with S&P. My quote was TREMENDOUS! Like $10,000 but we have A LOT!!!!!

We are also dong all white tall candelabra CP's with orchids and stuff. I'm doing blue uplighting on the walls and having all white CP's. Thinking about silver and white linens. It's a winter wonderland type of look im after. Haven't seen a sample yet though.

Hi,
I am also getting married at the Royalton on August 1,2009 and we do not want to get married in a church. How did you find the judge that is marrying you?
Thanks for your help!

Hi Jackie! We are using Father DiVencenzo to marry us at The Royalton. FM me if you want his info! He can do religious, non religious, spiritual, whatever! You can also ask Gerard or Mike at The Royalton to suggest someone for you. Good luck!

Hi Jackie - I'm getting married at the Royalton this July and we're using a judge to marry us because neither of us is very religous. The Judge's name is William Corbett and he was recommended on here. We met with him once and have spoken to him a few times and he seems very professional and warm. FM me if you would like any more details. Happy planning!!

Re: Royalton Ladies

we're using a female interfaith minister. I'm Jewish, he's catholic but I wanted a female anyway. I want a really romantic ceremony and I've heard she does such beautiful ceremonies.
