Royalton Ladies

I think I know the answer to this question but wanted to make sure...if you use recommended vendors from the Royalton, are their meals free?

Also, advice/thoughts on Stefans and Spitz and Peck?
Thanks for the help.

no, vendor dinners (including recommended) are discounted but not free unfortunately.

Vendors they told me were $35 a plate I thought. That would be for the DJ, Photographer, Videographer I'm guessing. Also I'm using S+P Huntington location. I did not have a great experience with Stefan's, and although S+P are more expensive, I was much happier with them than Stefan's. Good luck!!! FM me for details or more questions.

Allegra do you have a pic of your flower samples. I'm working on making another appointment with them to redo my flowers. Would love to see what you are doing.

My sister's wedding was recently held at Royalton. They don't really publicize it, but you can pay a vendor waiver fee if you want to use a florist other than Stefans or Spitz and Peck. She chose to do that and, even with paying the fee, the flowers cost less than what she was quoted by Stefans and S & P.

Haven't seen my samples yet! I'm doing lots of magenta orchids, branches, etc. I like minimalist stuff, and lots of bright purples, magentas, and greens with touches of white.

I am pretty sure the vendor meals are included, I'll double check or ask when I go back on Tuesday for my tasting.

I have to tell you makigng the menu was amazing!!!! we are getting so much food! I asked for certain stuff.. and they never said no! I even gave them the cake of my dreams and they said they could do it! I am so happy!

What kind of cake and filling did you use?

Re: Royalton Ladies

So now I'm even more confused....some Royalton brides say yes, some say no, and some say discounted. How is it different for everyone? I guess I could call too. As far as flowers, I had a good experience with both which is why I'm a little torn right now. Thanks for all the help.

I'm pretty sure Mike said if we use recommended vendors, their meals are discounted or free...I'm hoping free! What band are you using?

Re: Royalton Ladies

Sooooo...I feel silly...I decided to look at my contract (who would have thought) and it says 'dinner for vendors included per person.' I'm almost positive that applies to recommended vendors.

Any centerpiece pictures and/or cake pictures? Would love to see them!!!

Re: Royalton Ladies

none of my vendors are recommended vendors and I was told they make so much food that they feed vendors for free.

I'm using the band Soul Street.

I still have to go back and work on the flowers, I think I have to raise my budget with S & P.. I really didn't want to spend so much on flowers but now it looks like I'm going to.

Here's a pic of my cake, anyone have flower samples they can share.

your cake is beautiful!!! I found one in a magazine so I can't even post it. It is 6 layers but the layers are different heights. As far as budget for flowers, I don't even know how much you're supposed to spend...how much money are you supposed to budget for flowers (I know it's different for everyone).

Re: Royalton Ladies

Hi Girls -

Everyone's flower budget is different and supposedly S&P and Stefans are two of the most expensive florists on LI but I was actually pleasantly surprised with the quote I got from S&P. They're doing 10 bo-ks, about 15 high CPs (with some orchids, hydrandga and some other white and green flowers that I can't remember), plus all the room and cake decor for $4,500. That might be a lot but I have some friends getting married in NYC and spending more than triple that on flowers so I was happy with the quote. Plus Maddy is super sweet. I love her.

New question - for those girls hoping to get married outside in the garden, do you think there is enough room for a bigger sized wedding party to stand up there with you? We have 17 adults and 3 kids in our wedding party - how they heck are they all going to fit in that small space up there with us?!? I guess we're going to have to do two rows of people?

Re: Royalton Ladies

did you see a sample of your flowers yet? I am trying to find samples as we speak to send over to s&P so they can make me a new sample. I was up to $5k and didn't feel like I had any flowers. I am looking for something with orchids, hydragenas, calilyllies, etc. Would love to see anyone pics of tall white centerpieces

We're going May 3rd to see our samples and I will definitely post pictures after. I'm so anxious to see them. I personally love the orchids but they're so expensive so to stay in budget, we had to mix in bigger flowers like hydragenas. I hope I like the way it turns out!

Those sound great. We're going for our menu appt soon so I'm trying to think of ideas. Is your grill station going to be outside? I read about someone doing an outdoor bbq station and I fell in love with that idea for a summer wedding.
