Since the boards are so slow I figured I'd post about my menu!!
We did our menu last night... and I didn't write anything down. Our tasting is next week.... so he is going to type it all up for me. So this is from memory and A LOT is missing!!
Entry - Guests will be greeted with drinks!! But mixed fruity fun drinks like: Chocolate Godiva Martini, Rum Punch, Blue Hawaiian, Mai Tai, Alambama Slammer, etc.
CH hour is 1.5 hours and will include 5 stations: Tuscany - cheese, veggies, dips, fruit, crackers, etc. Can't remember what else Italian - All I remmeber is fried calimari, muscles, clams. There's more but I can't remember Pasta - lobster ravioli, penne alla vodka with peas (yay!! I get soo happy when I see peas!!) (no prochuitto), rigatoni primavera or something. Once more there is more but I can't remember... oh and garlic bread Carving - steak, chicken, some kind of glazed ham or something Fahita - yay!! Shrimp, steak, chicken, with all the fixings and also tri colored tortilla chips AND the BEST part... a patron bar with ice luge!!! There will be other liquors there too!!!
The Main Entrees are: Filet Mignon with mashed potatoes Stuffed Chicken Breast with the skin and some veggies. Idk what it's stuffed with (can't remember) Chilean Sea Bass with Lobster Risotto Vegetarian dish - can't remember but it sounded great last night
Red Velvet cake (YUM)
Vienese hour - includes choc fountain, ice cream bar, coffee and cappucino bar, italian pastries, cookies, creme brulee, and I don't know what else!!
HAHA... sorry I forgot MOST of it!!! That's my goldfish memory for you!!!
PS there are also passed hordorves... but we didn't pick those out just yet.

OK so far I'm adding those shots with sorbet! coconut shrimp (we didn't pick hordorves yet) Tiramisu to the venetian hr (LOVE that)

OMG Kerri!!! I can't believe your wedding is sooo soon!!!!!! i have to admit, i have been a total slacker on this board and have barely posted anything at all lately... i'm glad to hear you're staying calm!

I know!! It is super soon!!! Now it's like counting weeks instead of months or years!!! haha!! I'm doing my best to stay calm. I have my tasting Thursday! Also my epics Thursday and we are going to get our marriage license on Thursday too!! It's going to be a busy day!!

What did you have with sorbet that they shoved in my mouth? haha!! I was so confused... and before I knew what was happening there was a bowl or sorbet in my mouth and a spoon hanging out of my mouth with a man attached to it!! haha!!! I didn't know what hit me!!

wow - sounds busy! i can't believe your wedding is only a month away and you're just doing your tasting now! it must have really just snuck up on you!
did you ever decide what you're doing for hair & makeup?? that's the only vendors that i still have to book... i'm coming home this coming weekend to do some more trials.

My hair is just my regular stylist.
Makeup - i'm going on a trial really soon. I have 2 people I'm looking into.
I had to hold off on the makeup trial because I was having an allergic reaction to something and it was affecting my eylids and above and below my eyes. Basically was swollen, burning, itchy, red... etc. it got REALLY bad a few times. SO i had to hold off on wearing makeup for a while. I did a major allergy test and found out I am allergic to Rubber and Benzoyl Peroxide. So all in all the proactiv I was using ... I was allergic to that and it was causing my eyes to go insane!!! But now that I know.. I can wear makeup again!!! So now I can do a trial!!! yay!!!

Yea it did kind of sneak up on us!! Our tasting is kinda late in the game... but we got the best tasting anyone could ever ask for!! We went to Allegra's wedding in June... and got to try everything. This tasting is mainly for the parents and my grandmother.

I am trying to think about other hits... everyone loved the grill during cocktail hour. I know we hear that all the time on this board. We also had an asian food station with peking duck rolls that people liked.
Oh, one tip, because the cocktail hour room is so big and long i think people missed stuff because things were so spread out. In my book, this is not a bad thing. I dont know who doesnt scope out a cocktail hour selection the minute they walk in!!! But the staff are so great there that they made sure to point the things that were kinda off to the side out to people.
We did passed baby lamb chops and people literally waited by the door for them to come out.
Good call on the coconut shrimp. We also had lobster mac and cheese in these little spoons that Gerard recommended. People loved them.
I am so jealous that you are still planning!!! I am telling all my friends to look at the Royalton when they get married because I MUST go to a wedding there. So excited for you!!
