and how many photographers did you hire to take them?

We used Glenmar, hired two photographers & only received 580 proofs...

I have not stopped crying since we got them back.

We used Silver Fox they said with 2 photogs anywhere from 800-1000 and we ended up with over 1800!

580 sounds like a ton of pictures to me. We got 527 printed proofs, but we also got almost 2000 originals on disk. Did your photographer use digital? Maybe you can ask for the disk of everything that they shot?

Unfortunately he didn't use digital, and there only are 580 total for the whole day and we only get hard-copies, no disk . I wish we had 2000 originals, or at least some on the computer so we could email them, etc.

That's another thing I would recommend for people to request. There are a lot where people from the bridal party are not looking in the right direction or their eyes are closed. Had he used digital I think he would have had us retake them, but since he didn't there are certain shots that aren't usable now...

I'm still waiting for the owner to call me back. I'll keep you posted on how they handle this.

We only got about 321 photo's. we are very disappointed!

I think we were gaurenteed over 500 photos.

I know what you mean. I haven't even wanted to do my Album yet because of the lack of photo's

One photog and an assistant (so kinda like two) with a minimum of 800.

I didn't have a minimum and got around 600 proofs.

I think that's a good amount of proofs for film pictures. You always get more with digital because it doesn't cost the photographer any money to take extra shots. With film the photographer tries to get the best shots without wasting any. Do you not have enough good quality photos? Even with a digital photographer who takes 1000 shots, you may only like 200 pictures.

Our photographer told us all the weddings he does usually has between 700 and 1000 proofs. We will have two photographers with us.

I feel the same way - and they didn't weed out ones that weren't good because half the pictures have people with their eyes closed or looking the wrong way. and every time I look at the proofs I start crying. For instance, they only took about 15 shots of the cocktail hour even though DH and I had a break so we could be at the cocktail hour. where were they?!?!?! why aren't there more photos?!?!

after being on this site and seeing the beautiful work some of the brides have had done, I'm dreading my album. I don't like majority of our pics, they're very standard and not artistic at all, and I can't believe I spent so much time and money putting this wedding together with almost nothing to show for it, to remind us of all the small details.

I don't know if I'm being a baby about this. I just feel so cheated

FYI - Glenmar has asked me to update my post.

We still only have 580 proofs, (I had speculated that maybe some were missing?) but they are giving us a 75 photo, magazine style album to make up for the issues.

Idk of a minimum, but we were told anywhere between 1,000-1,300

He told us we will get about 1,000. He said he usually takes about 1,500.

800+ is the magic number for us, but I'm sure it'll end up more on the plus side since we have so much time between church and reception.

I am using duet and have 2 photogs they said I will have 2-3K - i think with both but it could be each. I have them for 10 hours so they will be snapping all day.
