RP 09 board- Teaching jobs

I know alot of you girls are teachers. I was just wondering if any of you know of any openings in your schools. I'm certified birth-6th grade in general and special ed. I'm also willing to travel to queens, manhatten or the bronx.
Thanks. I really need a job for the Fall to help pay for this wedding

Have you gone on OLAS?

Re: RP 09 board- Teaching jobs

I just sent out a ton of resumes today. My aunt who works in a school just told me to send a cover letter, my resume, & a sample lesson plan to all school districts. So I've been looking up the addresses to schools on Long Island, Queens, etc. and sending them directly.

Nassau BOCES has a list of all the school districts in Nassau, as well as job openings!

Good luck!

My district is hiring elementary teachers for the fall They ask that teachers apply online. I always forget their web address but if you type 'copiague schools' into the google search box it will bring you there.
FYI, technology integration in the classroom and knowledge of Spanish is always a plus in the district!!! Good luck HTH

Thats the district I live in actually! I have applied online and have not heard anything. I am actually in the process of fixing my cover letter for them since I graduated from there a while back. (Maybe that'll help a little)

Do you know if the resume would get sent to the new superintendent, or Dr. B.?

Thats what I use to do too. Then I come to find out that many schools really dont like that. The administration at my shchool said they dont usually look at ones that have been 'mass mailed'. I guess it all depends on the person in charge. I would try OLAS.
