RP: Am I the only one that has gone from 'wedding nutso' to nothing in zero to sixty??

I MISS IT!!!! and I miss you guys so much! I had a dream last night that they unblocked liweddings at work, so I tried it again today and kept my fingers crossed as I hit 'enter' and - NOTHING. I was so bummed. Can I tell you... I still haven't written my THANK YOU'S?!?!? I still haven't picked my pics or songs for our WEDDING VIDEO!!! We're getting dressed again in our wedding clothes to take the beach pics in the spring, so I haven't even picked ANY pics for the wedding album yet. So weird... I really feel like the wedding didn't happen, and it's so weird knowing there are so many out there who are still planning for their big day! I'm really jealous that you still are in this AWESOME time of having it all to look forward to... don't get me wrong - being married is great, but I LOVED being a bride! I always think of Monica on 'Friends' after she got married and she says - all depressed - 'Now I'm just somebody's wife'. Just wanted to say... ENJOY EVERY MINUTE of planning your weddings... I totally wish my whole life could be planning my wedding. I think it was some of the best moments of my life! So, Happy planning!!!

awww THANK YOU! You can help me plan mine if you want I am going crazzzzy! I have actually already thought about the days after the wedding and the not planning thing... how weird it will be! Since I feel like I think about my wedding plans 24/7... but you can rekindle your feeling when you get dressed for your pics in the spring!

PS I miss seeing your posts ~ you always had good ideas!

i'm marrying in just a few weeks...and i'm sure i'll be feeling a little withdrawal. but i'm glad i have soooo many other weddings to look forward to for the remainder of the year...plus i get to be in a friend's wedding too! Yay! that will surely keep me in the wedding spirit until at least september!

Sarah, we miss you.

Have you tried nycityweddings to see if that is blocked??? Just an idea. I know they had LIW blocked but not NYC at my jhob. Give it a whirl. It's worth a shot.

Take care and thank you for your kind words as usual.

I hope you feel better, and i read something about post-nuptial depression in this months cosmo..they say after all the planning is over, you feel lost and depressed...they also suggested that you not make wedding planning your whole life as that can lead to worse depression when it is all said and done with..

that's great for you! Good luck with the rest of your planning!! Yeah, being in a wedding will definitely keep you in the wedding spirit! I was invited to be in a wedding of a 'new' friend, but my husband (still so COOL to say!) was assigned his vacation time for the same week of the wedding. If we don't go away that week, we can't go away the whole year so I couldn't be in the wedding. And he has NO say in when he can go, so we kind of got screwed on that. I have one other wedding to go to in the summer at the Swan Club, which I've never been to before. And my coworker's son is getting married, and she already told me that she'll be coming to me for TONS of advice since she loved everything I did for my wedding and thinks I should be a wedding planner. Who knows? Maybe I will one day....
