scappy - they changed the name of the wyndam but it won't change your trip at all. i just met with my travel agent for the 2nd time yesterday... we switched our honeymoon from turks & caicos/disney to aruba/disney. we paid for the tix and they are bought now but we have to decide where to stay...

I would recommend to anyone going to ARuba not to get the all-inclusive, there are sooooo many great restaurants in Aruba, you'll want to try them all!!!!

El Gauchos is GREAT!!!

We stayed at the Renaissance and my aunt's timeshare at Costa Linda Beach Resort. We loved it so much, we bought one too!!!

We stayed at the Wyndham. It was fantastic!! There are pics in my community album. Also, if you want to know about some of the restaurants, I posted about it in my review. We didn't do all inclusive because we knew there were so many good restaurants to go to.

I will be there on Saturday!

I'm staying at the Renaissance and we're sooooooo excited!

I think the HM is the part I'm looking most forward to. (Not just for the obvious reasons!)

I looked at the website and found out that they are honoring any reservations that have already been made, so i know it will be fine. My TA is just not on the ball. I am very disappointed with her. I have to keep on top of everything and now I know why we just normally book vacations without a TA. She was supposed to get back to me regarding how much we have left to pay since we changed the flight to jetblue and hasnt even done that yet. If FH winds up having to go in there, I will feel sorry for her. He gets angry b/c we are paying her to do a job and she isnt doing it very well...

Re: RP - Aruba HM's

liberty travle is having a special on aruba (the 5 day vacations). i saw it in the travel section of newsday this past sunday.

the hyatt is $799 (airfare and hotel). i already booked my HM at the raddison, and i wanted to change to the hyatt b/c it would have been cheaper. my TA told me that it is cheap b/c they are doing construction there. but it isnt construction on the rooms, but rather in the lobby. so i guess it depends on what you will be doing during your HM. if i switched this wouldnt have bothered me as i am more of a beach, not a pool person and apparently you can hear the construction from the pool. i couldnt change it b/c it was too late.

just a heads up, this is a great price for the hyatt.

Re: RP - Aruba HM's

girls - does the radisson have an all-inclusive plan? i was looking online and it's gorgeous but FH and i really want all inclusive. my travel agent had mentioned the wyndam, the occidental and the divi to me... but the occidental is under construction now and is supposed to be done in august but i'm not sure i want to chance it. it's our HM and i don't want any construction going on (so the hyatt's definitely out, though it looks beautiful!) she also mentioned the divi but said something about it not being right on the beach? what about the bucuti, is that all inclusive??

The Bucutti is not all inclusive. The divi is.

I'm not sure...?? It was suggested to us not to do an all inclusive b/c of all the great restaurants. We did do the breakfast plan though which I would suggest. You might want to go out for dinner, but chances are that you wouldn't go out somewhere else for breakfast - that's what our reasoning was.

I don't believe the Raddison has an AI package. The Wyndham has an AI package. There are so many amazing restaurants on the island that I suggest you not do an AI plan. El Goucho is delicious. The Flying Fisbone is incredible and there are so many others.

I would be more surprised if you could fit in there! I am the over packing queen of the world.
