RP BHB: For those who are/have stayed at Sandals....?

How did you pick which one to stay at? They all look beautiful and there are too many to choose from. What attracted you to it and how did it meet expectations? Anything interesting to see on the island, too? Need advice cuz we are def. wanting to book with them! TIA

We went to the bahamas because its one of the bigger ones. We were not disappointed.
When we booked we booked a room that said we would have a view of the ocean or the pool, and a big tub. And I was sooo excited. When we got there the check in was smooth just fill out a form, hand them a credit card incase you do have to buy something at the store or make a phone call from your room or something. When we got escorted to our rooms it turns out we were put in one of their villa rooms. Which was nice, however the heated pool and the beach was a bit of a walk and the tub was regular size. So I had DH call after our 2nd night there and ask them about the room we should have been placed in, they gave us no problem all we had to do was pack and they moved all our stuff. The second room was awesome. As far as the service in the hotel it was amazing everyone was very friendly and nice. If you decide to go to the bahamas... I suggest you book a spa treatment it was worth it. You should also try the food at the cricketers pub I thought it was very good. Make reservation for the restuarants that require them as soon as you get there. Also try to book a room with a minibar, I think it was worth it we drank champagne almost every night and the next mornin. there was a brand new bottle in the fridge. Also go to the managers get together or whatever they had out prizes. I won a pink crystal sandal necklace!

As for what to do around the resort. There is a casino about 5 mins away, and there is a comp. shuttle that runs to and from sandals to there about every 15 mins. Also you can take a cab to Atlantis and spend the day there if you want (you can buy passes to use their beach and water park and stuff) The cab will cost you like 20 bucks BUT its huge (a minivan) so if you can find some other couple to split it with you should. If you wanna go downtown you can go to the pirates museum which is a bit cheesy but you can get some cool gifts for ppl there. There is also a lot of duty free shopping there, as well as the straw market which if full of bargains. To get downtown you can take the bus which is a dollar per person and it a very short ride. Oh yeah you can also go to the zoo, which is pretty cool. Hope this helps if you have ????s fm me

We chose the Bahamas b/c I really was dying to go dolphin swimming and they offered it, plus the plane ride was direct! Plus we went to Atlantis.

When we go to Sandals again, we may try St. Lucia as I've heard great things about that resort as well.
