RP from 07: Do I have time to do Bayard Cutting Arboretum for pics?

I'm hoping to catch some former brides who took pics here!

My ceremony is at 3:30 in massapequa....cocktail hour starts at 6pm in Lindenhurst. I figure we'll be out of the church somewhere between 4:15-4:30 (we only have a ceremony, not a mass). It takes about a half hour to get to Oakdale from Massapequa, and then a half hour to get back to CLM.

So....how much time do you really need for pics at the Arboretum? I have a fairly small BP- two Best men, 2 MOH, 2 Jr Bm , 1 Jr Usher and 1 FG.

TIA!!

BUMPing for the morning crew and for any past brides!

I didn't take pics there, but that timeline sounds really tight if you want to be at your RH in time for the CH.

ETA: Have you spoken to your photographer and/or limo place about it?

Nope, but that's the next step! Actually I heard from a fellow bride they close at 4....although their hours could be different in summer, who knows.

Yeah I figured the timeline seemed a wee bit tight...oh well.

Thanks!

We went there for my friend's wedding. She got married in October and we got there around 4:15ish. I would say we were there for about 45 minutes. I think you might be running a little close on time. But, if you do go there, make sure you get the permit! My friend didn't b/c her cousin said she didn't (little did she know her photographer had done it for her) but anyway, my friend didn't get the permit and if there were not 2 cops in our BP we were not gettting in there. They gave her a really hard time, so definitely save yourself the headache.

And for other ideas that are less time consuming, there is always Argyle Park, Venetian Shores by the water in Lindenhurst, Belmont, or the Manor Lane Park in West Islip.

Hi! We had a ceremony that ended up 3:30....took pics at my parents house (Hauppauge) from 4-5 and then headed to the ARboretum..... We had 4 BM and 4 GM.... we were at CLM by 6:30pm (CH started at 7).....it might be tight, talk to your photographer.
