I'm getting measured for my dress tomorrow and ive been reading about bridal salons and how ur supposed to make sure they arent ripping you off....for all of you who have gotten measured already, what does it mean when they say that they order the largest size?...like say i measure out to be a 34, 26, 36..and the size chart says size 0 31 22.5 34.5 2 32 23.5 35.5 4 33 24.5 36.5 6 34 25.5 37.5 8 35 26.5 38.5 10 36.5 28 40
which size would i be?

I think it means that they order the size that the largest measurement fits. For example, let's say my bust is in a size 12 but my waist is a size 10 and my hips ane 10. They will order a size 12 to fit the largest size and take in the rest.

You need to order an 8. If you order a 6 the waist on the dress will be too small. It's MUCH easier to take a dress in than it is to let it out.

they order what your biggest measurement falls into - so that it will fit the largest part of your body and then they can take in the smaller parts.....that way it fits you somewhere and then the other parts can be adjusted......if you have a large chest they might have to order a larger size so your chest fits - then they can take in the waist and hips.....
demetrios doesnt have a size that fits me so my dress will be big everywhere

Like the other girls said, it means they order based on your biggest body part. If your boobs are a size 12, your waist a size 6 and your hips a size 10, they will order a size 12 to accommodate your boobs and then take in the rest. Otherwise your dress would be too small on top!
Sometimes if you're really close or if your weight fluctuates they might order up one size more. It's much much easier to make a dress smaller than larger. We actually ended up doing this for my dress -- I fit perfectly into the sample but my mom insisted that we go up one size (a very small difference) JUST IN CASE I gain weight over the year before my wedding. I didn't think it was necessary, but I'll be wined and dined all summer as part of my summer job so anything is possible. I just need to have self control...

i think it's easier to order an 8... just because it's easier to make it small then make the dress bigger...

Always fit the widest part of you; that goes for regular street clothes as well as wedding clothes. I always buy a size up when things are snug because I have very wide hips in comparison to the rest of me. Sales ladies always try to get me to go one size down but Im comfortable with my body-good friends now with my tailor
Go with the 8-easier to do last minute take-ins then to starve yourself for a week to try and get down a size.

You would order an eight, you would go by the size for each measurement, then the largest dress size out of the 3 is the size you would get.

I agree with order bigger.
My dress didn't fit when it came in...you know that moment that they bring you the tissues for tears of joy...I was TICKED OFF.
I'm a steady street size 4-6. They ordered a 10.
I went on a SERIOUS diet & lost 10-15lbs. It was NOT fun.
