I found my dress this past weekend in NY at one of the big name bridal salons. After that I found out that I could get it a lot cheaper at a bridal boutique where I live (outside of Washington DC). I'd rather get it in NY because I trust the name of the bridal salon and it would just be easier as the dress would already be there and I wouldn't have to travel with it. I have negotitaed with the NY place so there is now a $350 difference between the two places (plus the difference between NY and Virginia sales tax because VA is only 4.5). Originally there was closer to an $800 dollar difference so I was able to get it down quite a bit. I just can't decide if I should go with the trusted name or get it cheaper somewhere else. What would you all do? Thanks so much--this is really stressing me out!!

Personally I would go for cheaper because money is always tight, but if you are worried about traveling with it, it might be worth the extra money to buy the dress up here. You dress will be safe and you won't have to worry about what could happen in an airplane or excess wrinkling or anything.

Is the store in DC a authorized retailer of your dress. If so you should be ok. If you have doubt on how they do business check for them on the www.bbb.org. Google the name of the store maybe their are previous brides review.
